Sunday Morning...Sept. is almost over...

Top of this Sunday Morning to you all....

Yep, I've decided that it's going to be anytime after 4:30am for my "rise and shine" time...cause no matter when I go to bed, with or without Tyenol PM,..I'll be up and awake then.....some days I make it to 5-5:30am, but that's it..... Oh, well....

Yesterday was beautiful here....temps around 75 - 80F....a nice breeze and sunshine....we helped Andy & Gwen with some yard work....then had sausages and coleslaw for supper....Gwen & I had a wine toast to honor Mitch.....took some photos that I'll post later...

Today is race day, again...the guys have plans to view it at the Tiki Hut with snacks and adult beverages....

Tomorrow will be getting stuff ready to head on down the road a ways....on Tuesday....but we'll be back here in January....

Okay, the coffee's ready and think we'll have scrambled eggs and bacon today.....the eggs are fresh.... ;) from the chickens here....they have forgiven Spinner for chasing then....

Have a great day, all...

Good Morning, Lori and Everyone, This waking early hours is habit forming, I think. I was always up at 5 or so and my brain after all of these years of training still wants to do it, but my body doesn't like it much :o

I'm home, that is back in North Carolina, what a mess here. My yard is terrible, don't think I owe the neighbor boy much for mowing while I was gone. Finished going through the mail this morning, most of it. Many this time of the yr. bills in there to pay. RV ins. for one, think it might be a wee late, due the first, hope they go by mailing date.

I had planned to play for another week, looking at all this work here, wish I had, but then would be driving without any ins. Oh well, will just have to suck it up and get 'er done, Right ???? Want to leave latter part of Nov. for Fl. again this year, hope I have everything settled here. Right now, looks like an impossible situation. Ok enough of that, depressing me.

On to such great news, Mitch, so glad to hear that everything is getting better over your way. You got this beat, just keep after it. Sure hope Pedro is really cute when you see him in Baja :D

Irmi, so sorry to hear about your Mom. Hard time for you right now, and then worry about how your Dad will be too. Time does fix things, they work out somehow in spite of all our worry, they always work out for the best for everyone. Just hang in there, you have loads of support here, so many of us, have been where you are, so we really know what you are dealing with.

I am so far behind in everything on the forum. Those who have had birthdays, hoping they were very special for each of you. Newbies, so happy to see so many new names on here, and posting !!! That's great. Welcome to all of you and know you will enjoy your times, on here and in person when you take the opportunity to meet up with some of the Sistahs here.

Better get this day going, I've been up since before 5, had coffee, breakfast etc., and finished the mail mess that was here. Now on to the rest of it !!!

Have a great day, and those on the road travel safely.
CArol :)

For those Sistah's who think I play a mean game of Hand and Foot, well, I want you all to know, you sure better watch out for that lady named Liz, I think I won two games out of all that we played. She pulls some good tricks on ya. LIke you finally pick up your foot and she goes out before you can play it. She does this a lot !!!!!!
Just a word of warning , listen or not !!!!!

Morning. Lori, I was in the same habit of waking up at 2:00, then started taking half the dose as soon as I woke up. I could fall back to sleep and not be too groggy. A friend recommended herbal stuff but that never works for me.

Getting a little tired of Halloween with all the screaming and late night chainsaws. You'd think that would be enough to scare the bears away but nope. Some workers had to keep chasing bears away so the hay wagon could get through with guests.

Off to work I go. Have a lovely Sunday!

It is a cool, rainy morning here, a nice soft rain which we need so much. I made biscuits and sausage gravy for breakfast and it was soooo good. Only do that every few months so it is a real treat. Plenty to share we have eggs to go with.
I have had trouble sleeping recently and the wonderful acupuncture doctor put some tiny little things that look a bit larger than a poppy seed in my ears Friday and I have slept very well. It isn't needles just a bit of tape holding the seed thing in place on certain pressure points in my ears. I feel relaxed as though I've had a few sips of wine. I am so glad to have found her. Many who do acupuncture want to give you a bunch of herbal medicine right away but she doesn't do that.
Time to get a shower and decide if I'm going to church, I could easily be swayed this morning.
CArol, I call and make my insurance payments using my credit card so we get points. I hope you don't work too hard at getting your place together, I though you had put your house on the market.

Good Morning All, Lori, did I tell you I really love the new pictures of you and the Sultan and Spinner. Does Spinner get up with you at that ungodly hour? My Casey got me up at 5:15 this morning...I have no idea why, but she was determined to get me up and out! Now the daughter is making oatmeal for our breakfast...smells great. Have a great day, lyn

Good morning all! :D

Yep, awake at 5 this a.m. too  I like the idea of acupuncture (or seeds) BJ. I have a neighbor who had an "ear" thing done for her to quit smoking! Guess ears are important parts of the body, considering we get out of balance when "bad" things happen to them  Hmmm, but like your idea, Amy, of taking a half-dose of sleep med if waking up in the middle of the night...

CArol, all the fun stuff of returning home! Lyn, just remembered you mentioned your bday the other day--hope it was a happy one (did I miss that, or didn't you want the cake lady to bake for you?)...& how about that Mitch planning to join Beth in Baja!! :o :D

Piper has school tonight, otherwise I'd be on the road--gorgeous, perfect fall day here! So, Anita, I may get started tomorrow--can lolly-gag along the way & still meet you on Tues; or if you're up for meeting tomorrow, that's fine too! Can't wait!!!

Many peoples on the road--Lori off to FL where I'll see many of you soon! Safe travels to all! Cowgirl Tina, in the sky somewhere on her way home???

Y'all have a great day! 8-)

Up early last two mornings because I had my grandkids staying with me in my motorhome. I fixed pancakes and sausage this morning and they ate at least 6 sausages each!! Plus a couple of pancakes with blueberries. Dad is going to pick them up and we are probably headed to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom since they have annual passes. They are 6 & 8 and up in the overhead cab bunk area watching TV with the curtains closed.

I helped clean out their closets yesterday, tossing all the too-small stuff into bins and resorting the good stuff. Garage sale is next weekend, so I also brought my old stool which is too short and my old too-short ladder for the sale. Got a new vacuum cleaner with a sealed HEPA system that hopefully will help my allergies, so that goes also.

Then this coming week, I am just going to putt around Napa on my bike and relax. That electric bike is so nice because it enables me to really put in some miles and go farther than I possibly could on my old bike with my sore knees. Hope I can also get a cat scan scheduled this week. Really want to get it out of the way.

Got a couple of pancakes left over for breakfast. No coffee because I do not even own a coffee pot!

Well heck yeah! If I had a chance to get on that speedy looks like so much fun mower I wouldn't get off it either! Not that you ever gave me a chance to try it out when I was there.
And did you really mow not even a week post op? REALLY? Good thing I wasn't there I would have kicked your arse back into bed!! Prolly why I wasn't there, you knew I'm not as nice as Vicki!

Quiet day here, very damp after all the rain last nite. Had a nice visit with a grand up in Fayetteville yesterday and then we all went to the Rockin' Rooster last nite for beer, pool and band. I was the DD, so iced tea for me which I guess had enough caffeine in it to keep me up until 2 this morning. Had a really nice lunch with Nancy last Thurs so need to get that picture on here. I've gotten so bad about pictures. I really used to be one of the heaviest pictrure poster on here. sigh.

Hope everyone has a really great day today!

Vickie maybe try taking her keys away LOL BTW the lawn looks GREAT. Such a pretty place.

Came home yesterday after 2 weeks of camping. Camped with Beth, Lyn, and Judy for a few nights, then on to the Pac NW GTG. As you know the rain was an issue but the gals were great. We managed to have good visiting, food and drinks. Laura and I packed up from there and went to the Mill RV Park (13 miles south of the GTG spot) and had some great weather, we even contemplated staying until Sunday the weather was so great. We had lots of cleaning to do after the GTG. Friday the weather reports were for heavy rain, winds 50-70mph on the coast so we were easily convinced to "get outta Dodge" early Saturday. I headed south (Laura headed north into the storm) and it was raining but light winds. My drive was great...ran out of the rain about 12 miles east (Coquille) even had some sun. Roseburg area and the passes (4 of em sheesh) were windy but not that terrible. There weren't even many trucks on the Interstate. That worried me a tad as it is usually full of trucks, but Laura said Saturday is not a big truck day...apparently not.

Laura's drive was pretty bad. Heavy rains and wind. Glad she got home safe tho.

Today is a day of laundry. Most of my clothes are damp and smell like old campfire. Plus the usual bedding and towels. It is raining and we have a wind advisory out for today but so far not too bad. Good day to get some chores done.
