Hello from Good Bye Wyoming ...

Come on in and say hello.

Hello from Good Bye Wyoming ...

Postby Patty45 » Fri Sep 27, 2013 10:54 am

I sold my home of 30 years and purchased 1977 dodge C Class motorhome one month ago. I am fixing issues, one at a time. Each shakedown cruise revealed a new one, or more urgent one.
I am thinking positive...I made reservations for Ballon Festival in Albuquerque for Oct.
I am divorced and hitting the road to my new adventure.
At first, I was packing my car and moving to Florida to live with my sister and her husband. We were born in Daytona Beach, she never moved. But a week before I closed on house, I found this motorhome. One look and I was hooked. This has always been my dream to retire and travel. I am 68 and blessed with good health and plan to see as much as I can in the time I have left. I am leaving children, grandchildren and great grandchildren in the west, but hope they will find time to come visit. Or as I said as they were growing up, I will stop by when passing through, just have a good extension cord for me to plug into. Remembering this makes me feel I am on the right path for me.
I hope to keep in contact with new friends on this site.

Welcome to the forum! You will get lots of support, advice and laughs on here! I think there is another gal on here who is going to that balloon festival this year too, can't remember who it is tho.

When are you heading out and where are you heading to? Any pets? Photos? We LOVE photos!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Welcome Patty, Sounds as though you have a lot of changes in your life. You are brave, buying a 1977 RV! I have a 2002 and find it to always have a bit of needed ($$$) attention. Was yours already restored? Good luck on your new adventures.
