Found Friday and It's Cooling Off a Bit...

Postby rvgrammy1953 » Fri Sep 27, 2013 5:43 am

Good morning, all....Yep, it's Friday.... :) Yesterday was bitter/sweet....spent the afternoon with Deb...laughing and chatting....then supper with our hosts, Gwen & Andy...the salmon, brussel sprouts, and oyster stew were wonderful..... ;) That was the "sweet" part....the "bitter" part was saying good-bye to Deb when she and Duncan left for the CG, knowing they are hitting the road today for FL.....It was great to see her....Ernie & Andy helped her with some "red routes" so she could avoid the interstate highways heading to Orlando.....Told her she'll be fine and will enjoy her adventure on the road....

Okay, today is my day to finish that darn baby afghan for the brand new great-niece who is 3 weeks old already..... Good thing it's a crib size one, cause if it was bassinet size, I'm running late on that.... :?

Suppose to be sunnier today.....so hopefully I'll get to air out the 5er as it has rained all week here.... ;)

Okay, coffee is ready....but it's cold cereal today....

Have a great day, all

Good morning Lori & everyone!

Lori, thanks for the cereal! So glad you got to meet Deb! It sounds like all of you had a wonderful visit.

My life is getting back to more routine. I'll get a workout in this morning and do some grocery shopping later. Just lit the woodstove to take the chill off but hopefully can let it go out later in the day when it warms up some. Take care everyone.

Good Morning Lori, Irmi and all who follow,

Sun is rising above the trees here and it's a bit chilly out there, but other wise going to be a beautiful day.

Thanks for the cereal Lori. Some days that's all one is in the mood for. Hope you get your afghan done before the new great neice is in a bed instead of a crib or you will be expanding it a bit more   Irmi, glad to see that your life is starting to get back to a bit more normal as you say. Hope all works out that your father can stay in his home for awhile anyway. You have given so much of your time and talents to your parents, I'm sure they are proud of you.

TT washing and covering day here today. Later this morning when the sun is up more and air warms up a bit. But first is a little bathroom and kitchen cleaning session. Did rest of house earlier this week. Always like to leave house neat and clean when I head off for awhile. Never know if the house cleaning patrol might come around when I am gone  But it's nice coming home to a nice clean house and not having to bother with that after being gone.

Peggy, loved your remark about the eastern seaboard falling off the map  They always talk about CA doing that someday when the right earthquake comes. But it was nice seeing the "left" coasters doing the morning coffee yesterday. And Barbara even got to start it from the Midwest.

Loved the pictures of Mitch and her angels. Lots of big smiles. And as for Weatherby, well....... Dog's gonna do what a dog wants to do. ine is sleeping behind my chair right now. She will be out with me later when I go wash the TT. Then I will take recycles up to the recycle bins up the road and later on will pack up the Flex so we can leave in the a.m. tomorrow. If it had been today, would have been gone already. No morning fog this morning, so hopefully will be same tomorrow.

So, I am going to head out here and get busy with my cleaning. Next time you hear from me, I will be in the far west cemtral part of Michgan's Upper Peninsula. CArol, Liz, Sarah and Leslie know where that is :) Enjoy your day everyone and if you are on the road, travel safe and enjoy. Which reminds me. Those of you who might have Natinal Parks in mind, keep an eye on the news, cause if the govt. shuts down, so are the parks.

Good morning all. It's the start of my work week and the campground is busy making preparations for Halloween "season." I'm good with one night of Halloween, but an entire month will drive me crazy.

Hope you all have a fantastic Friday!

Good Morning to all!

Cold and overcast here this morning but due to warm up when the sun comes out later, so they say. Back to the house I go to do more tossing, sorting, labeling, and sobbing over old treasures I have managed to hoard away for all my life. I even found a pair of my own baby booties, crocheted by my great grandmother that my mother had saved and that, when I found them, I also stashed away. Lots of memories in this "stuff" that evoke all sorts of emotions and even more memories. Sigh.

I will be thinking of Mitch's news today and so hoping we can all have a massive celebration tonight when we learn of it. Sending strength her way so she can make it through the last of the waiting.

Happy Friday to us all.

Good Morning... cool start to the day but mid 80s later... it sure is fall can feel it in the air...
I watched a good program on tv last night. not sure about the name but 3 families are traveling back in time to Montana they will live in the 1880s I believe that is the era... they will live for 4 or 5 months and see how it was before all of our conveniences... not sure how many weeks it is on but should be interesting...
Irmi bet that fire feels good this morning... routine helps us keep our sanity... Soos I have moved so many times many of my treasures have been gone long ago... Sue you will have a great time in the north country... hope the baby quilt is finished so you can start another project Lori and thanks for the coffee..
Take care everyone.

Kathleen, they had a show on TV like that many years ago. I think it was maybe 5 families tho. It was interesting to watch.

Slept in late this morning because I got to bed real late. Yesterday I went shopping for bras and clothes. Needed new pants for work and found some nice ones that should last me awhile. Opened a JC Penney account and got 20% off everything I bought and most of it was already on sale, so I saved a lot of money! Yay! Also stopped to get an oil change and car wash at the dealership where I bought my Jeep. I get those free for the first two years!

Tomorrow is my nephews wedding in southern MN, so my dad and I will be heading down there around noon. It is at a winery. It is an outdoor wedding and reception but is supposed to rain so they have a tent for it just in case. Hopefully, the weathermen are wrong again and it will turn out to be a nice sunny day instead!

It is warm but raining this morning here. Yesterday was wonderful tho! mid 80's, sunny and breezy! We can use the rain tho (just not tomorrow  ).

Have a good one! (and thinking of Mitch, praying for an excellent report!)
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Good Morning All, I'm back in Healdsburg, at the daughters home. I had such a good time, and, a very nice birthday,(82nd) in the rain at the Oregon gtg. It did stop raining enough for me to walk Casey around the camp ground and down to the trash can!!!
Karen, K2, had a birthday also on the same day, so, that was a nice surprise. I thought the Mudslides, Muddrinks, were the birthday party, and it was raining so hard, I went to bed to read. I got my piece of very delicious cake the next morning. Thank you Ellen!!!
What fun to meet those in person whom I have been reading on the Forum!
When I unplugged the electricity, no nasty remarks here, my refrige would not return to gas. As I slowly drove out of the rain in Bandon, I kept checking the refrig. I bought the most delicious Clam Chowder in Gold Beach and ate it while watching the waves crash on the shore. Then I got tired around Cresent City, so stopped at Mill Creek in the National Park for the night. Very cold and deep camp ground in the forest. Still no refrig.
Long story short, I'm now on the phone to repair places to get the refrig turned back on. Its under warranty as it is new.
Thanks again to Laura and Karen for finding us this nice camp ground for the gtg. Oregon is a beautiful state because of the rain, so I'm not complaining. I did take lots of picktures...when I figure out hot to post them I will!!!!!
Love and positive thoughts to Mitch today. lyn
