Forgotten Thursday?

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Forgotten Thursday?

Postby BarbaraRose » Thu Sep 26, 2013 11:07 am

What?? No morning coffee? Almost noon here in the Midwest!

I have the day off today so I slept in a bit. Now to get dressed and go pick up my dad. Need to buy a wedding present for my nephew who is getting married on Saturday. Later, laundry, etc.

Beautiful day here today! Breezy, sunny and supposed to get in the mid 80's.

Hope you all are staying safe, busy and having fun! :D
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Good morning BarbaraRose. I was beginning to wonder if the eastern seaboard had fallen off the map!!! Maybe they are tired of always starting MC. Anyway, it's beautiful here in Abiquiu, New Mexico and I'm off to visit Ghost Ranch, home of the painter, Georgia O'Keeffe. Enjoy your day. Peggy

Hi Barbie, Peggy & everyone!

Barbie, thanks for starting the MC for us!

Peggy, have fun on your adventure today!

I spent the night with my Dad as the rest of our out of town siblings have gone home. We showed Dad an assisted living place in his area which is real nice, very quaint and small. He has put a deposit down in the event he decides to move in, but for the time being, he wants to try to live at home with round the clock care for awhile to see how he manages. This is going to be a tough transition for him, but we'll see him through this.

Steve took a ham bone and Kielbasa out of the freezer, and since it's getting cooler, I think a pot of soup is on the agenda for dinner.

Take care everyone.

Good morning all. Barbie sounds like our weather is similar. I have been using my air conditioner the last few days here on the central coast of CA. Love that sunshine!!! A little cooler last evening though.

Out of data on mifi. Wonderful time with cousins and extended family. Just had boat ride on intercostal, Delaware bay and Atlantic ocean.

Peggy, glad you are getting to Ghost Ranch. Was on my list but will have to go next time. BTW, don't take that 104 highway. I did. It is 100 miles of desolation. I only met about 4 cars and 2 trucks and a few head of cattle. There was a very scary section through rock passes where you had boulder dropping rock face on one side and a no shoulder cliff drop off on the other. I just kept hoping my rig would not create an avalanche!

Joan, thanks for the heads up on Hwy104; not my kind of road. I'll take the Interstate any day. Too bad I can't post photos from my I-phone. It is so beautiful here.

Good afternoon everyone. Had a 7:30am PT appt. So grabbed something from MickeyD's on my way there. So now having coffee with my lunch. Daughter and I are washing one of the classic cars this afternoon. It is cooling off a bit here as well. This morning it was in the low 60s. But in the 90s this afternoon. Everyone have a great day and stay safe.

good morning ladies
payday, I get to eat :D
well at least I get to take myself someplace as I try to do that every payday cause I think I deserve it.
Todays choice....Butterfields

not nearly as good as Flapjacks and it was quite pricey but at least I can say been there, done that. :D
Other than breakfast my morning was quite busy with a full bus and lots of commotion. :x they have me
in a spare bus right now and it just doesn't suit our schedule very well. Lift is at the front and that makes
it hard for everyone getting the kids off the bus as it seems everyone is in everyone elses way as we are
trying to get wheelchairs off. Hopefully, my regular bus will be done soon and I can get it back. The lift
is in the back of the bus on that one so the wheelchairs are out of everyone elses way.
Ya'll have a great day and be safe.
( so glad Vickie and Ronnie are ok, reading that little episode of his fall really made me feel the panic for both of them)

Yep, my day off so I slept in. Ava, that breakfast looks amazing. Much better than the twigs I ate.

I don't check the site everyday and have just learned of your mother's passing...I am so very sorry..It was evident in your wonderful care of your parents how much of a loss this is...My prayers for your Dad and your family to adjust to this loss and may God's hand be with you in relocating your dad.

Irmi, I am so sorry to hear you lost your mom. You have been so close to your parents which makes it harder. I think it is wise for your father to wait on making major decisions right now. As long as he can get the care he needs at home, he'll probably be better off for now. I hope everything works out for you and your dad. Again, I am sorry for your loss. Linda
