Weds. and hoping the Misty Weather will stop soon...

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Did someone say wine and cowboys?....

Finally got to see our bear cub last night. We have a mom and cub and another grumpy adult bear hanging around.

What a way to wake up. The blocks under my front jacks shattered about 1a.m. It was initially scary, but then kinda funny. If my bf hadn't been here I probably would have spent the night tilted. We laughed for a good half hour because of the absurdity of it all and grateful there wasn't more damage.

Hope you all have a great Wednesday!

Joan - sorry you had an issue. I know what that's like <sigh>

We had a front come through last night and dropped the humidity but it's still going to be in the 90's today so I guess you can't call it a cold front! :o :o :o

My appointment for the repairs is October 15. I hate that it's always 3 weeks out but they are the closest and do good work.

Love your riding outfit Tina. And I'm hoping it is a sign that you are feeling much better Mitch. It was probably those special pictures from Tina.

I had my scissors out this morning cutting on my hair but I always trim my between cuts. I'm trying to let it grow out a bit we'll see, the curl will go away with the humidity and I'll be wanting it cut short again.
Martha, I'm with you on deciding on cars. I sell whatever I'm wanting to get rid of and get $$ I might need lined up ahead at the Credit Union. I think they really stick it to you when you let the dealer do the financing, I especially don't trust those no interest 'deals'. If you like your van I have an 05 Toyota Sienna which I love, but not sure if I would do a new Toyota, they seem to have had some issues lately. My friend has a Honda van and it is very comfortable and rides great. She likes it a lot. For a small car, I think I would seriously look at a Honda Fit, I love Liz's it was solid and handled great, she let me drive it when we were at Obey River.
Off to do a bit of shopping. Have a fun day everyone.

Good morning all! Pleasantly cool and sunny today, so I am going to wash my motorhome right on my spot this afternoon. Hard job when you are as short and old as I am!

Rented a car and drove to Lassen yesterday. I was afraid clouds would be a problem but they cleared enough. Very beautiful area.

Got a teleconference in a few minutes with support staff who will hopefully show me how to fix some things in my class.

Blowouts are scary, especially at 70mph! Glad you are okay, Joan. I put all new tires on my rig before I left CT in August. To the eye they looked fine, but the technician pointed out some cupping and they were dated 2007. He was quite impressed when I asked him about the tire date and insisted on 2013 tires. I probably could have made the trip out west and back, but I didn't want to chance it. Pricey, but a good investment for safety.

You were smart to get new tires. Mine are only 3 years old! They should have had years more life unless punctured. I just responded to a question on another thread about Michelin. Boy this has been an expensive month. Hurry up October.

PS Going to make a version of your rice recipe. That was delicious.
