Thanks Chris, for the surgery explanation, that helped. Hoping Mitch rests easy tonite and gets some sleep.

I also appreciate learning this but also know of someone whose doctor waited in the er for the results, so it's possible.

Sending prayers and healing light to Mitch again tonight!

My SIL's sister, Rosie, actually went in today too, for her double Mastectomy. (My brother had told me it was next week), so am keeping her in my thoughts and prayers as well.
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Thinking about you Mitch. I was also confused that they couldn't assess the nodes right away. I knew before I went home that mine were negative. Although this is Mitch. She has special nodes....Wishing you great strength and a quick recovery.

Thanks fors the update, Vickie. There is a newish procedure that allows for checking the lymph nodes for some patients while having the mastectomy. It may be that Mitch's doctor did not feel it was appropriate or they didn't have it available.
