Mitch Update

Postby VickieP » Thu Sep 19, 2013 11:46 am

Phyllis called just a little while ago and said that Mitch was in surgery for about 1 1/2 hours. They removed the breasts and two lymph nodes. The lymph nodes were sent for testing, results will be a week from today. Mitch was back in her room, still groggy but doing good. The doctor said if everything goes good, she should be able to go home around mid day tomorrow. If the all clear is given on the testing of lymph nodes, they shouldn't have to do anything else, if something is found, they may have to go back and remove more, using the same incision. So let's keep those prayers and good thoughts going for the all clear on the test results.

Thank you Vickie,
Although I have not met Mitch in person I do enjoy her antics here. Prayers are being sent up for a speedy recovery.

Thanks, Vickie. I've been hovering around here all morning waiting for a good report on Mitch. Sounds very promising. Sending more positive thoughts for negative test results and a quick recovery.

Thanks Vicky and Phyliss, Traveling today but thinking and praying for Mitch every mile. Now the test all have to be good so she can go home. As soon as she is home she will begin to feel like everything is going to be better then ever and on with her life and traveling plans.

She stays in my prayers until all this happens,

Checking in from a rest stop on the road. Good news so far, continued prayers for the test results to be negative. God is good. Gentle hugs for Mitch. Take your pain meds, follow dr. orders when you are released.

Thanks for the update, Vickie...and good news that Mitch will be able to go home tomorrow...as long as she behaves herself... ;) Seriously, the healthy, healing thoughts and prayers are working so far....will keep them coming from this neck of the woods so that the tests results come back perfectly normal....I know the waiting is annoying, but we'll all keep her spirits up....and the time will fly by... ;)

Thanks Vickie. Saw the news on my phone in town, but it's hard to type on it, so waited until I got back to Hope to thank you. Hoping and praying that tests on the nodes come back negative. Major surgery and they throw you out of the hospital the next day....that's just not right! I would be demanding pain meds by IV for at least a week! But I'm a sissy wah wah.
