Tuesday Morning....

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Tuesday Morning....

Postby rvgrammy1953 » Tue Sep 17, 2013 4:04 am

It's early again for me....almost 5am and I've been up since 4am.... So of course, there will be a nap in my future sometime today... ;)

My convection/toaster oven bit the dust on Sunday, so sent Ernie shopping for a new one yesterday...he did good and got a nice one for $55....so will make ya'll and Ernie Biscuits & gravy for breakfast.... :)

Yesterday, I did some "crabbing"....caught a nice one, but it got too hot to do anymore, so will plan another day when it's cooler in the morning to get more....Ernie cooked it up and had a nice snack.... ;)

Today will be laundry and doing some house-cleaning for me....trying not to let the "routine" stuff get ahead of me like it did right after my surgery....what a cluttered mess that was....

Okay, am going to stop for now and go catch up with all of you and what you are doing...

Be safe on the road and have a great day, all

Good morning Lori & all to follow :D

Love the new pix, Lori! Mmmmmm, biscuits & gravy?!!!! One of my favorite breakfast meals, but never get enough of it. Loved SteaknShake's when I lived in the midwest...I've been absent a few days, but good to hear what y'all are doing!

Mater canning done, but yesterday, bro & I did pickled beets for the first time. Had a great crop of them this year, so we were able to do 12 qts. Also cooked a couple of my pie pumpkins over the weekend. So domestic!

Did much reorganizing in HarBor over the weekend too. Learned a lot from my first big trip--things I didn't need to take, & things I want to have with me this year. Except for food & a few last minute things, I'm ready to roll! Alas, still almost 2 months before I leave for the winter, but ready for a New England trip with Anita :D

Y'all have a great day & safe travels always! 8-)

Good morning
coffee almost ready, need it this morning. Have a tooth that has been bothering me a bit, just enough to interfere with good nights sleep.
Hope the sun comes out today. Need a little more warmth.
heading for Campbellsville, KY today; will check back in later.

Good Morning everyone,

Chilly morning here at the MI 45th. Looks like a bit of a patchy frost out there too. First of the fall season here.

I haven't been on for a couple of days either, but have been reading the posts each day. Yesterday was kind of a mixed bag of stuff for me. Finished cleaning house, does that sound familiar Lori  Then paperwork from neighbor downstate who owns second home up here arrived in mail yesterday. Had to have new well put in about two weeks ago and has to have water test done. Said I would do it for them rather than them driving all the way up here just for that. So went to Health Dept., got vials, back to house, took sample, filled out paperwork and back to Health Dept. with them. Went to vet for some heatworm, flea/tick med for Sassy and also refill of her Proin tabs. Then she and I went for a nice afternoon walk over to state park. Wind was a bit chilly out of the sun, but a beautiful clear sunny afternoon.

Chiropractor appt. this morning and then not sure just what today will bring. Need to mow grass, but will have to wait till later this afternoon as it's too wet right now. Or might go down to big craft store in Houghton Lake for some wood cutouts for future sign projects, or....

Sarah, glad you are slowly making your way home and you were able to stop and see Carol and The Driver. Hope the tooth issue doesn't turn into a dentist trip for you. Carolb, can remember when my mom used to can beets. I always loved eating them and now hardly bother anymore  But talk of all the canning this fall, brings back lots of memories for me.

So, guess it's time to get moving here, make bed, get dressed, can't wear jammies to chiropractor's office  Although nowdays I see what looks like jammies out in a lot of places in mid day

You all have a great day out there. Drive safe if on the road and enjoy the travels.

Good morning all! Lori caught a crab and Ernie's cooked it. I love that relationship. Carol finished canning maters. Never heard them called that!! Hope your itinerary includes SE TX again!! Sarah, hope your tooth was just one of those aches and nothing serious. Not much going on here. DH and I have such opposite sleep/wake patterns. He likes to read (and now use his iPad) until 2 or 3 AM, then sleep till 9 or 10 AM. I like to be asleep by 10 or 11 and I'm usually up by 6 or 7. I would probably sleep latter if Tyler didn't wake me up  Now that it is darker latter, the neighbor's rooster doesn't start to crow till closer to 6:30. Tyler doesn't like that Rooster. He's always chasing it and barking at it through the fence. Just sorting, cleaning, same ole, same ole. Everyone have a great day and stay safe. Aloha y'all

GOOD MORNING ALL!

After a day of cleaning and organizing and sorting and stashing and re-configuring this trailer, I fell into bed early last night with my furnace running as it was already down to about 40 or 39 out there. I got up once in the night and it was nice in here. However, this morning when I turned over and found Molly under my sleeping bag with me and I could see my breath, I realized I had probably run out of propane and had no heat in here! It was 25 outside with heavy-duty, snow-like frost and only 40 degrees in here! Switched propane tanks, and now it's back to toasty-cozy as I sip some hot coffee! I am envious of Donna already on her way south, but I need to wait a few more weeks to get all my doc appointments and Orion's 2nd birthday in (October 7).

Jack from New Hampshire is camped here in his Class A bus for a few days, and I sure do hope he is staying warm over there. There is no wind today, and the sun is rising bright and cheery, so it promises to be a good day. By this afternoon, the lawn should be dry enough to mow one last time. I am still waiting for Wiley to fix the tractor so I can brush-hog the field I wish to keep tree-free before I leave for the winter.

Safe travels to all who are on the move, and I hope everyone has a happy day wherever you are and whatever you are doing!

Happy travels!

Good Morning,

I opted not to plug in here at my friend's - only thing that hinders is coffee making. My friend works a few hours this morning, and I could go in the house to make coffee but really didn't want to disturb the 3 dogs. So, I got a text that there was a thermos of coffee on my doorstep!

The trip to that Memorial Bridge yesterday still has me on a high. Today we are going to West Point. After the Navy Yard shootings yesterday, we aren't sure what we will find as far as security. I will look forward to seeing more of this beautiful countryside.

After the tour in New York and now being here, I have such a mess in here again!! Oh well.

Brrr Soos, waking up to 40 degrees inside must have been a shock! Good thing Molly helped warm you up. It's in the mid-fifties today and sun is out right now. I'll be calling the dentist in a few minutes, I sympathize with you Sarah a tooth ache is no fun. I have a pain in my mouth but can't tell whether it is a tooth or not, it seems to only hurt when I move my jaw, maybe it's just a sign I need to stop talking!
I'm ready for biscuits and gravy now, one of my favorite foods!!
Hope everyone has a good day, stay safe on the road.

Good morning! :D

Cool, breezy and sunny here in MN today. Definitely at hint of fall in the air now.

Last night after work, I picked up my dad and we went to his church to get photos taken for their church directory. He always wants me in the photo with him (I was confirmed there but not an active member).
The photographer kept flirting with me thru the whole photo session which made me very uncomfortable, especially since he had a wedding ring on. First he was saying how beautiful I was, and that he should introduce me to his sons, but then he said he would rather take me out himself...I reminded him he is married. Didn't seem to phase him at all, he just kept talking like that.

Anyways, when I dropped my dad off at home, he told me his feeding tube had come out earlier in the day. He didn't tell anyone earlier because he didn't want to miss the photos. So this morning I made an appointment for him at the hospital to get it put back in. I have to work, so his renter is going to take him in.

Hope you all have a good, safe day today!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Hello from the West Coast.
Finished with the other RVing group's rally . Had a good time. Now I'm hanging out at the RV park waiting for the GTG at Tugman State Park. Yesterday was a nice day; should have gotten my bike out. Rained last night. Suppose to be raining on and off today. But the forcasters seem to get it wrong a lot.

My granddaughter has a cross country race in Bandon this afternoon. That's about an hour from here. Can't decided if I should drive down there to watch. It only lasts about 15 minutes, and can't see her for most of that. Basically, the start and the finish. Do I really want to stand in the rain? Of course if I don't go, the sun will be shining. If my husband were still alive, we'd go. He use to run cross country. Decisions, decisions.

Have a good day everyone

So it isn't morning anymore in Ohio. Just had a nice gentleman come out and talk to me about replacing the zillion year old deck on the back of the house. It isn't even good for dogs anymore and in the 22 years we have been here has never been inviting to people.

Mentally I just haven't gotten the energy together to take pictures of the new floors and the house. It always takes me ages to get pictures back up (and decide which ones to go back up.) Most of the tubs and piles have been reduced to small piles. I won't have my new deck delivered until after I play cowgirl, so all my desk, files and computer and printing materials are waiting in Rubbermaid....

At this rate of spending $$ on the house....I will won't feel at all guilty about the gas and other costs of the SW USA and MX this winter. If I am going to spend my savings I might as well enjoy it. I admit it will be nice to finally have a house that, though not fancy, I will be able to invite folks to without wincing.
