Nicky and I have taken several short walks. One thing I regret is not being able to get him enough exercise or find a place to let him run.
After the wind subsided, we enjoyed sitting outside. We even had dinner at the picnic table.
Nicky's excitement for the afternoon was provided by a very bold cat who had the nerve to come drink from his water bowl. He barked at it but the cat stood its ground and they went into a stare down for a good half hour
I mostly watched the construction on bridge
See the flame at bottom of bridge. I thought they were welding. Silly me assumed the bridge was being repaired. Not so, that is a blow torch cutting beam. Camp host says the bridge is to be blown up on Thursday.
It is a long way to another bridge but now not so sure I want to cross it.There was a lot of barge traffic in both directions. This one was too big to show all of it

Several more but figured that was enough to give you a feel for how heavy the traffic is here. Those were taken over just a two hour period.
It is almost 11:00 and I should be thinking about going to bed so not too late getting started tomorrow.
Noticed the moon is almost full again. Have I really been gone so long that the moon is about to complete another cycle? Have noted the day light hours have become much shorter lately. Don't think I'm quite ready for fall yet.
