Ladies, you have to use your propane stove. It is so much better than electric -- instantly hot and instantly off with the amount of heat you need. Come on, don't you want a nice omelet or grilled cheese once in a while? We don't have an onboard oven, but set up a small convection oven outside when we want to bake. There are some things that are better in an oven, and of course I only want to make them when we are camping and have time to cook.
Sarah, CA really isn't that far when you think of all the stops on the way to GTG with everyone. Consider it inching your way west. Isn't it amazing all the things you have learned and how easy they seem now that you know how to do them? Gosh, just hitching the TT was a biggie for me. We had to have help because we couldn't figure out the dump. We thought the toilet was broken for six months and were looking at new ones before we figured out all we had to do was turn on the pump to get the toilet to flush. Duh! Just learned to remove a ledge shelf in the refrigerator to fit more bulky items on the top shelf.
My personal challenge is backing the TT. I have managed to do it, but it is nerve wracking and avoided at all costs. In fact, when I not book a campground if there is not a pull through available or friends who can back up for me. I know it's wimpy, but I don't care. That TT has a mind of it's own and never goes where it is supposed to when I am backing.
Proud of you Sarah. Waiting to hear about your next exploits!
