My sister in law never wears a bra and she hangs down to her belly and just lets them flop around. No one wants to see that. Even at the bridal shower she gave for her future DIL, she didn't have on a bra and it really looked tacky. She has a high-end job so she must have to wear a bra at work, so she must own one. I think in public, women should be tactful and wear a bra if they are more well-endowed. JMHO...

The only things I like about winter is sweatshirts....if you don't have on a bra no one really knows and you don't have to shave your legs as often.

There has been a lot of talk on here about cup size and no bra. Tuesday one of the woman on this tour had on a bright yellow shirt that I can't think of the name of the style but the back has no fabric at the shoulder blades, just up the middle. She's in her 60s at least and fairly well endowed. However, the front had ruffles so nothing was obvious - other than I thought she looked ridiculous.

I ended up across from her today and she was wearing a white t-shirt and obviously no bra - weren't nothin' left to the imagination under that thin shirt. So, you all just get over it and go braless no matter if you are larger than a 'B'!!

Mitch, I think your decision to do the mastectomy with no reconstruction is a smart one. Floating and healing after surgery is the goal. This will be a time for sitting and petting "the beast"...she will love that.
Bra or braless is a matter of opinion...I like braless with the sweatshirt.

After all these years I think it would feel even more uncomfortable. Even more sweaty cause the twins would be bouncing around on top of everything not letting the air through..... I am not sure what all that uncontrolled momentum from their movement would do to my aging balance. I would have to learn how to move all over again...sigh.

Heck, they got me my incredible husband.

COUPLE of "The Girls" STORIES

I DO NOT (well, in the past) LOSE AT TABLE TENNIS. Had a table in the basement in Illinois. One day, George was beating me, 19-11 (21 is game). He went to retrieve a missed slam of mine. While he was turned around, I took off my upper body garments - played the rest of the game topless. He never scored another point. I beat him 19-21.

I fell in love with Clark Gable when I saw GWTW at a very young age. Then saw him in Mutiny On The Bounty. Had a lifelong dream to go to Tahiti after that. George kept saying NO. I went out and bought a grass skirt and "island danced" for him in the living room, wearing nothing but the grass skirt. We were in Tahiti in the next 6 months...(for our 5th anniversary).

Yes, The Girls have served me well...

I am sitting here just laughing out loud. And someone, please explain to my why boobs are of such interest to men! Yes, I have also used mine to advantage as we all probably have, but Mitch's table tennis story is the greatest. Everyday as I put on a bra I think about what a pain in the ass these boobs are, but now I will think about how they have served me well...
There is no way I will go braless outside of the confines of my own home. When you're twenty it may look great - but at 66 - no way!

A niece of mine, who I've never met (married to my newphew, and maybe 45-50 years old) had a mastectomy yesterday. An hour after surgery, she was sitting up, eating lunch. My SIL sent me a photo (which she asked that I not share with anyone, so I will honor that) and I can't believe how good it looks. There is more skin than I will have because she will have reconstruction. I was beyond impressed. (Lucky I have some big cajones cuz I was really scared to death to open the picture...)

This woman had breast cancer 18 years ago, pregnant, and 2 little ones at home. Stage 4. Survived that and will now definitely survive this.

I love good news stories!

Awesome!! Confident that you'll be eating lunch an hour after your surgery. In fact I'm confident the worst part will be the hospital food!

No idea where I heard this recently but apparently those of us who burned our bras all those years ago, should have left it that way. Supposedly our chest muscles would have developed and supported our breasts. Wearing bras didn't allow that to happen, so gravity wins.
