Santa Fe, NM Campground Recommendation?

Postby monik7 » Fri Sep 06, 2013 8:27 pm

Does anyone have a recommendation for a campground or RV park in Santa Fe or close by? I'd like to find one close so I can access the city easily by walking or my bike since I don't have a toad. If all else fails, I guess I could drive but I don't know if there would be anywhere to park my rig. It's not huge but is 25'. I'd also be interested in any sights that can be recommended to see near Albuquerque. I don't plan to go any farther south than that. Thanks.

Sandi, here's the link to RV PARK REVIEWS for Santa Fe.
Maybe that's a start?

Sandi, don't have the names, but there are two right in the town. Fellow workampers are heading to one of them on Sunday.

When will you be in ALB? The hot air balloon fest is coming up soon. Are you going to Taos? These are on my upcoming agenda when I leave T or C.

I'd love to know the names of those parks if you can find out. I'd really appreciate it. Yes I plan to go to Taos too. I know this sounds crazy, but I'm planning this for a trip next May! For sure no one as ever accused me of not planning ahead

I don't find it silly at all planning ahead for next spring. I do that all the time. Then sometimes I go and sometimes I do not LOL

I always start planning my summer trips the winter before....I see nothing strange in it, Sandi! I hope you realize that May in that area is pretty chilly. Can't help you with cg's, hubby and I stayed in both places but it was years ago and I don't remember where we stayed.

Sandi, I'd have to look up addresses for the cg's in town, but if you use the cg reviews and click to check websites, they tell where they are. There is a public parking lot I was able to park my rv in right in Santa Fe - cuz I camped further from town (in NFS cg's, if I remember correctly). I love Santa Fe. Love most of NM, but not so much Albuquerque. That said, if you've never been, you should go. It's a big city lol
