I loaded some of the pictures two days ago but then got tired. This driving around and partying can wear you out. Such a wild bunch these women.
Thought I had better post these and leave some room for more pictures from the UP to come later.
There was another kayaking trip out on the lake. Liz and I stayed out of the big water and cruised some of the boat channels. We saved boating on Thunder Bay for the Charter boat.
Remi and Stuart want to see who can guess why they are up on the bed smiling..... "I will baby sit her while she is in the pen, but don't make me stay down there and get chewed on," says Remi.
And Leslie says that the sling chair is comfortable, but no pictures of the exiting are to be taken.
Alpena, MI, has a few nice old houses.
Remi doing some of his babysitting.
Carol Liz and I took the cruise in the glass bottom boat to see a few of the ship wrecks.
The little Passport America campground was nice.
Neighbors supplied some music and singing.
Then we all gathered up our belongings cranked up the engines and headed towards Mackinac City. We didn't actually travel together but some of the same road side rest areas captured our attention.
And anyone who has traveled with Carol knows that she can't pass a functioning water pump without checking to make sure it works right.
I took my car into town by myself because I didn't know how long everyone would stay away and I needed to time the puppy. Stuart came with me and helped my shop the Arts and Craft Show. He can keep me out of shops but not outdoor booths.
The lighthouse
Para-sailing over the harbor.
Sarah's find at the lumberjack show.
Dakota for the slightly younger set...
The beach...just don't take the dogs....
The bridge to the UP.
Picture from the Headlands. It is a dark sky area for viewing the stars and all but none of us were willing to make our way back over in the evening. There was a nice guest house on the grounds.
Not many pictures in the camera of the casino that we stayed up near Sault Saint Marie, but several of us came away with more money than we started with. And we started with $10 in credit from the Casino. That and free camping with electric made the stay not too bad.
More pictures as we add them.
