Muggy Tuesday Morning

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Muggy Tuesday Morning

Postby Colliemom » Tue Aug 27, 2013 7:12 am

Good Morning for the MI 45th,

Cloudy and muggy is the word here this morning. Looks like some rain moving in too, although it seems to be avoiding this area again. Sun trying to come out and making the clouds look darker.

Not doing a heck of a lot around here either. Has been too hot to do anything physical. Melting into a puddle of sweat just monkeying around moving some stuff from TT to basement yesterday. Enough of that.

Got a bit of not so hot news from the eye doc yesterday. After doing another laser treatment on my eye, he said there is still scar tissue in there, but he doesn't want to laser it anymore. Is afraid that it will damage the retina and blood vessels of the eye, so I am going to see an eye specialist next month to have them look it over. They are more specialized in that type of thing. May be that nothing needs to be done for now and just monitored, or they may decide to do some kind of treatment. Eye is clear and I can see, so am hoping that will be all for now. Fortunately they are right here in Gaylord, so no having to chase any place else. In meantime, I am looking at a few bills coming in from all these doctors. The co pay share for me plus the office calls. Also have two more dentist appts. coming up, one which will be for cleaning and the other for replacement of two old fillings. More green needed there as well. So am curtailing my spending for now. Cancelled trip to join the gals in the U.P. too. Decided to stay closer to home for time being.

Think I will head to Goodwill this morning and browse the book section. Am out of books to read at the moment. Also need to pick up some stuff from store. Have a great day all. Those of you who are on the road, travel safe and enjoy the trip.

Good morning Sue & everyone!

Sue, I sure hope the eye problem isn't anything serious. Maybe it can just be left alone and keep a check on it from time to time.

It's warmer in MD than it has been the past few days and we'll even get into the low 90's today. I'm off to get a workout in and this afternoon I'll leave the spend the rest of the day, tonight and tomorrow with my parents. We received word this past weekend that my brother has aggressive bladder cancer and needs to have his bladder removed followed by chemotherapy. I worked for him for many years after he bought the electrical contracting business our father started. My brother is only 50 so the doctor says his age and good health are on his side.

Take care everyone.

Rainy, misty day here...Oh, what a JOY to move in, don't ya' think?!  Lucky, we're just moving basically, across the road to W/E site until Sunday when we move up to the farm for a few days....The owner had booked this site we're on now for the Labor Day weekend, so we need to move...it will be good cause it forces me to do a little cleaning and dusting.....which I haven't been up to doing lately..... Will "secure" what I can this morning, then when I get back from yet another Dr.'s appt., we'll hookup and drive around the CG and park in the new spot.... ;) Have laundry to do, too, but I may run out of steam, so looks like that will happen tomorrow....

Health issues seem to be the going "theme" right now....am praying for Mitch and for Irmi's brother and Mom....

Okay, better get my butt in gear.....

Have a good day, all...

Good morning I'm waiting for Mediacom, they are supposed to come between 8-12. A friend is coming this morning to bring scones to celebrate my test results, all is well!! Of course you know when Mediacom will get here...as soon as we start to eat our scones.
Don't do too much work moving Lori. Irmi will keep you and your family in my thoughts. Sue wish you could find a way to meet up with the UP group.
I've started watching Netflix and really enjoyed the British series, The Grand. It is a large hotel that reopened right after WWI. Lots of romance and mysteries.
If your in this heat zone try and keep cool!!

Just got up. Another hot and humid day here. Supposed to continue until Labor Day, when the heat and humidity will drop significantly that day, finally!

I have the day off so will just hang out at home. Got invited out for a boat ride later but I think I will pass since it is just too hot. I have a Tupperware party to go to this evening by a cousin of mine. I don't need any Tupperware but haven't seen her in awhile, so will show up to visit with her and her mom.

Hope those with health issues (and family members who are ill) will find the strength to get thru it all and get better soon!

Good Morning. Lots of storm warnings across Northern MN and WI last night. We didn't have any damage, I hope the rest of you are all safe.

I have lots of catching up to do. I've been gone for a while camping. Then I took my daughter and grandson to the MN State fair over the weekend. We stayed in Mpls with my son and daughter-in-law. It was so hot, but we had a very nice weekend. I'm just glad the fair is behind us for another year.

Have a good week everyone as another month passes us by, and the snow will be flying in a few months. The camper will be put into storage soon. Not looking forward to that at all!

You should have let me know you were in town! I had Saturday off and could have met you somewhere for a quick GTG before or after the Fair. Looks like I am going to miss the Fair this year, between the heat and my sprained ankle. Well, that will save me some money anyways.

BarbaraRose... Do you know of any REALLY good doggie day care or overnight kennels in Mpls? I will be needing a place to leave Butch from time to time when I come to town but I'm very protective of him, and need to know that he is being well taken care of.
