The waiting is difficult. You just want it over already. Keep prepping for Baja. I'll drink some wine for you.

Finally able to get on the forum and read this. Glad to hear that things are progressing - albeit slowly. And I KNOW things are going to be fine. There's no other way they can be. We women say so!

Keeping you in my prayers - I've had a biopsy (no waiting - right after the ultrasound) - no big deal for the actual procedure, but the waiting sucks. And I didn't have a cute surgeon.

To me the breast MRI is worse than a biopsy - but then Xanax helped me get through my last one last week. (I have just a wee bit of claustrophobia.)

My Sitting-Here-Waiting-Waiting-Waiting Project is The Baja Beach Shower...

This little beauty (incomplete as of right now...special shower curtains on order) weighs in at just 6 pounds.

The purpose of this lightweight, easily assembled shower enclosure is to

1) save your water in your fresh water tank
2) save space in your gray water tank
3) not use propane to heat water (use solar shower)
4) be able to say your were nekkid on a Baja Beach...
5) be clean when I meet the man of my dreams - Pedro Jimenez

(if I could sew, there would be a more attractive and better fitting carrying case...)

Mitch, you do think of everything! It's important to conserve water and yet maintain your feminine allure, especially for when Pedro Jiminez rides up on the whale holding aloft a bottle of wine and two crystal goblets while a mariachi band, conveniently gathered on the whale's tail, plays rousing folk songs meant to stir the blood and the passions. And if you're in the shower when he arrives, just whip down that shower curtain for an instant, and oh so sexy, sarong. Brilliant.

Oh lord, now it's burned in my brain forever! Showers will never be the same. How much you want to bet that the first time you use the Baja Shower you laugh out loud and imagine a whale bearing mariachis and Pedro Jiminez, aka Glorioso Moustachio?

Thanks for the imagery, Nikki & glad to see you're still scouting out new gadgets, Mitch.
Its nice that the surgeon's cute - always look on the bright side. That's what our mom taught us...
We're all with you on this & a bunch of insistent ladies is a force to contend with!!
Try out that shower & let us know If it works! :D

So Olive, do you write sizzling romance novels under an assumed name in your spare time   I would also bet anytime & any where place that Baja shower is used Mitch will be peeking out watching and listing for Pedro's approach.

Nikki, that is wonderful! I'll think of it every time I take a shower from now on!!! Mitch, aren't those just PVC pipes? And, get a plastic shower curtain from BB&B. If I'm desperate I take a shower in my bathing suit..not as much fun as being nakkid, but better than nothing.
Waiting...ugh, ugh, ugh...it's the pits..lyn

Almost wants me to take a shower! I hate showers----much prefer baths, but have had to take showers with my solar-heated water bag hung over my propane tank cover this summer! It's so low to the ground I must sit down, but it's the only place where I can be (reasonably) sure no one will catch me stark and hating the ordeal!

Hang in there, Mitch----I can only imagine how impatient and nervous you are while playing the damnable waiting game. I am worse than no good at that, as my doc found out a few years back. She wouldn't tell me the results of a breast biopsy over the phone, so I, naturally, assumed the worst, and said I was too distraught (insane) to drive myself there for an office appointment. I said I was going to have to call 911 to get delivered to the office as I was too wrecky to even drive. I was screaming and totally out of control as my office visit was a few days away. Finally she broke down and told me everything was fine. Now why on earth could she not have done that immediately? I have never felt the same about her since that episode, and I am sure she now realizes how nuts I really am, too!

Sip some wine of your choice----for me it would be Recipe or beer----kick back and listen to soothing music. Or, better yet, set up that danged shower and call upon Pedro to make a call!

Happy travels!
