We are in Michigan! Tea party at the MI Welcome Center:

Ok, the jello is setting. Peggy and I will spend a couple days touring the German town of Frankenmuth and area. We hope to meet up with Carolinagal and Sarah on Friday and stay at the Casino in Mt. Pleasant Friday and Saturday night. From there we plan to go to Ostego Lake County Park Sunday and Monday night to gtg with Sue. That's August 18 and 19. I hope some in the area can join us there.

Linda, maybe you can come up on your day off next Monday?

Ohh wish I were there for tea! I won't know until Thursday when I can go anywhere. Bit of a hundred thousand mile check up, this time on me :( Hopefully though I can see some of you as you head back this way.
I love that little table, any idea where I could get one similar?

I have two tables like that - simple tv tables you can get most anywhere - under $10 at walmart.

Ok, I'll see everybody at Ostego Lake County Park. Have fun in Frankenmuth -- the Bavarian Inn has good weiner schnitzel. :D

Fantastic pictures and just as fantastic smiles. Hope you saved enough tea for Otsego. Looking forward to Sunday. BJ, sorry to hear you might be tied up or else would have loved to have had you join us. Same with Kathleen. Maybe we can do a GTG along the MI border or something next year.

It would be great to see you, again, Liz :D You are the first one from the forum that I met, not long after I joined. Still think about our kayak trip in FL. Do you know when you will be heading down this way? I leave on Sept. 5th.

Liz, Peggy, CArol and Sarah, you do not need to make reservations for Otsego Lake County Park. I was over there today and they are not that busy now. The sites along the lake are pretty much full at the moment, but some of them will be leaving on Sunday, so hopefully we can all settle somewhere along that stretch of road. There's a bit more grass there as well, not much but more than the other sites have. I will be taking my TT over on Sunday morning to set up camp and then returning home to pick up Sassy and a few other things. Will be bringing in some firewood as well.

That sounds great, Sue. We will be coming up from Mt. Pleasant on Sunday, so not too long a drive.

Okay Liz, but I do need to tell you gals, that due to suspension issues on the Flex which is causing the problems with towing, I will not be camping over there. But plan to spend the days with you all. Will explain the whole thing when I see you all Sunday. Let's just say the TT is back at the dealers and will be getting resold again. I've had to do an about face here.

It's about an hour and a half's drive from here to Mt. Pleasant roughly, so you don't need to get an early start. Will give the folks at he park a chance to get out.

Now I know where you will be Sunday....... Have broached the subject here in Ohio and it looks like I may be able to leave. It will take another week or so for the flooring materials to come in.....and I don't plan to help with any of the prep. my job was eliminating pieces of furniture that had passed its usefulness.

Have some prescriptions to refill and some other errands.....will let you know how it all works out.

Yay, that's great Tina! And Sue, I'm so sorry about the TT and Flex issue....such a bummer. But better to find out now instead of the hard way, I guess.

The Michigan GTG is no longer just possible, it is happening! Left to right: Me, Louise, Carol, Sarah, Sue, Tina, Peggy
Image
Sue has been a great hostess. Yesterday she was here to greet us as we arrived, and grilled hamburgers for our dinner.
Image
We have a lot of entertainment from out waterfront site...float planes landing and taking off...
Image
Trick planes doing loop-d-loops and buzzing our campsites.
Image
THe fly boys are here with their model planes...
Image
Sometimes they have to be rescued after landing..
Image
Stand-up paddle boarders..
Image
Sue brought wood and built us a campfire. We captured Sarah making her very first ever S'more. In fact it was her very first roasted marshmallow.
Image

Image
Tina and I got the kayaks out.

Looking back at my site.

Puppy love

And tonight, the night before the full moon.

We are having so much fun, we decided to stay another day.
We were expecting Leslie, but she called and said she couldn't make it today. She will come up tomorrow afternoon, so there will be one more.
