Mini OR GTG (updated with pics 8/24)

Finally Time (Karen or K2), Oregonluvr (Karen or K1) and I are camping at a nice resort on the Willamette River outside Eugene in the foothills of the Cascade range. We arrived last Sunday and will be here until this Sunday. The weather has been great!

We sat out and watched a movie last night on K2's outside entertainment center. I took pictures but the signal is kind of slow so pictures will have to wait until I get home. It has been a nice, relaxing time with nothing really on the agenda. Today we're going to town so I can get more lottery tickets so I can win so I can do this full time LOL

There are times when gtg's are so relaxing that no one has time to post pictures until you wake up from the "relaxing".... Enjoy!

Where will you be going after you leave the Willamette Valley? I just arrived in Oregon last week. I plan to spend 6 months here...maybe more. My daughter lives in Forest Grove and I was trying to find a park close by. There doesn't seem to be any near there except mobile parks which do not look that good. I joined Thousand Trails and am using a freebie for now in Seaside. It's not too bad but I am moving to the Willamette Wine Country RV Park on Sunday. I will park there for a month until I decide to move again. Looks like I will just miss you in the Willamette Valley.

I am still exploring OR. The drive here from TX was uneventful so that was good since I had not made a long drive in my rig yet. I did stop off in Tucson for awhile but was so anxious to get out of hot weather. Hmmmm....now today it has rained all day. Quite a change in the weather here. Will I miss the sunshine????

I would love to meet up with you Oregonites sometime. Keep me in mind if you set out for another campsite.

Hi Judy,
I'll be back home in Salem on Sunday. The Wine Country park isn't that far from me so we'll figure out a time that will work and I'll drive out to the park for a mini gtg!

Please check out the West Coast gtg in September. Still plenty of spots left and not too far to go for you. Some people are arriving on September 20th with the rest of us coming in Saturday the 21st. We always have a great time!

P.S. Yes, it is Oregonian. We don't get too bent out of shape unless you don't pronounce Oregon correctly. It's "Oregun" not "Oregone"

That would be great. I see Salem is only about a half hour away from where I will be. I plan to stay in Dayton for a month so hopefully we will find a good time to get together.
I am in the process of exploring and learning about OR so I am sure you will have lots of useful information. I'll keep the September GTG in mind.
