Mondy morning....still on hospital hours....lol

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Mondy morning....still on hospital hours....lol

Postby rvgrammy1953 » Mon Aug 12, 2013 5:11 am

Yep, am up and about.....doing the morning "shuffle" across the camper....Poor Spinner wants a morning walk with me, but it's still dark outside and am still a little shakey about walking him in the dark on these legs....all I need right now is to fall....so I just "gently" woke Ernie to take him out....It makes me so upset that I can't walk Spinner right now...especially the "early morning day break" one....but this too will get better...

Have to make a 5 day post-op appt. with the GP Dr. today...then I figure I'll be ready for more sitting on my butt and taking mini-walks....walks are suppose to help prevent blood clots and pneumonia....they had all that fancy equipment for massaging the legs and those shots,  , but I'll gladly walk to avoid clots and those damn shots...they hurt, after awhile...  I'm up to about 5 to 6 hours between pain meds right now...OMG, I'm so tired of pills... :( And don't get me going about "GOING" another pill to "poop"....Geez.....

Okay, I'm done whining about this stuff for now....Thanks for letting me vent...

I'll check back later....you all have a great day....

Good Morning Lori and all,

Lori, glad to see you are "up and about" although slowly in the 5er and not in the hospital anymore. Yep, take you time and get better a bit at a time. All those "fun" things you need to do yet, they too will pass and before long you will be your old self again, answering Spinners "call of nature" instead of yours

This gal will be heading out pretty soon too, as I have eye exam today and it's an hours drive over there. Hope all goes well. I have an implant in my left eye and the Optometrist noticed some changes in there, so today I will find out if it's anything serious of just a minor thing. Also seem to have a little cold in my sinuses too. Think it might be a little bit of allergy too as I was cutting grass this weekend and it's do dusty and dry, my nose was all full of dirt and whatnot from riding the mower. Then tomorrow I am going to check with local RV dealer and see if they can evaluate my TT hitch situation.

Just saw the beautiful pictures that Liz posted from Niagra Falls of the mini GTG with Carolb and Peggy. They are heading to MI slow but sure. Looking forward to a GTG with everybody when they all get here. Well, Carolb won't be up this way, so will have to catch her later.

So guess I had better get my act together here. Need to make a quick stop in town on the way out and must be over there before 10:30. So wishing you all a wonderful day and those on the road, travel safe and enjoy the trip.

Good morning everyone glad to see you're up and about Lori your recovery time will go fast and thank God that all your tests were negative and will be negative..... Sue good luck with your eye appointment... I just had mine and everything's the same this some kind of spot on my eyeball but its still the same so I guess its all good. I haven't been posting much because I'm still on this mode of downsizing cleaning working remodeling and I think everybody's tired of hearing about it ... I know I'm tired of talking about it... but soon it will be over for this year September's fast approaching.. I have an appointment with the dermatologist today something on my leg I need to check that out in a rash on my back I can't see.. you know how it goes... when I get home from that I think I'm going to start painting the hall.... we'll see how late in the afternoon it is... have a great day and stay safe Donna

Good morning everyone. Lori, so glad you are back home and on the mend and everything was negative. Try to be patient, takes awhile to mend. I am outside early before the temps get unbearable (to me). Cleaning hoses, wet bay, cargo bay. As I spend more time in RED I am learning what works for me and what does NOT. So I am rearranging some things and finding better storage ideas for others :P

Daughter is here for another week. She quit her job in Korea. They did not go along with the contract and in Korea your pretty much SOL as an American with a contract dispute. They told her she would be teaching math in high school (her degree is in math), but was teaching English to pre-schoolers. Said they would provide housing no more than 15 min from school. It was 15 min to train station, then 45 min train ride. Contract said sick leave, vacation time. Not true. Boss was awful. She had a lot of job offers from high schools in Korea to teach math, but the boss of the school that sponsored her work visa would not release her to work for any place else. So she came home (thanks to mom's mileage points). Don't know what her next step in her life will be. I'm just enjoying spending time with her while I can.

Everyone have a fun day and stay safe. Aloha y'all

Good Morning... on my second cup of coffee... sure is nice to read about everyones day! venting is what we do best and I for one enjoy reading about your daily struggles with life... lets me know I am still alive and have some of the same issues...

I have the window and door open again this morning... it will get hot later so will have to close them when the air conditioner starts running... I keep it set on 80... yikes the summer bills are high...

It is bittersweet having Shadow home... I know he misses Hildi... but he is also glad to be with me... slowly he will adjust to his forever home again... he gained 4 lb which for his size is not good... I had worked to get him down to 19 lb and he was fit as a fiddle... my vet was so pleased with him a year ago... well we will work on the diet together.. we will both lose!! but in the end will be winners...

have a great day everyone and Lori keep improving by the hour...
Kathleen

GM Red see you are posting at the same time... oh so glad the mishap with the MH was not a big deal!!

Good Morning ! Lori, so good to see your post and that you are home. be patient you 'll be going strong soon.

Sarah and I, are setting on the shore at Dale Hollow. We 're just going to enjoy the day here. I slept better and longer last night then I have in ages. I had to just walk off and leave everything. Everything I wanted or needed to do was stopped by our rainy weather. Thrift store that does pick ups, couldn't even get out there. So I have just walked off and left it all ! I will have something like 2 months to try to finish up before I head south for the winter, until then I'm forgetting all that  Donna, I don't get tired of hearing what you've accomplished or hope too each day, you're keeping me motivated !!
You certainly have more ambition and energy then I do  :D

Beautiful out, time Maggie and I got back outside. She is a different dog this morning. Running around like a pup. I love seeing her like that. It will be hot later, I might have to dig the bathing suit out, the shore line here is a nice beach

Have a great day everyone, I certainly will I'm sure, Heading north and Sue has promised almost prefect weather IF we get up there in the time frame she told me about  I gave you an out, Sue, if it's not as prefect, I know how the weather can change

Those on the road enjoy your trip, Safe Travels ,
CArol :)

Vent, Lori, vent! It's good for you. That period between "wanting to do" and "being able to do" is so frustrating.

Red, I'm so sorry your daughter had such a rotten time with her contract in Korea. Yuck! I have friends who taught there happily for several years -- but when I stop to think about it, they worked for the American School, which specializes in international teaching around the globe. If your daughter wants to try teaching overseas again, she might consider working through them. In the meantime, you have fun with her. :D

Spent the weekend in Atlanta - Mom's 81st birthday is tomorrow so my sister and I surprised her by flying me in for the weekend. It was a great time! But the plane was late getting in last night and I'm running on fumes about now - and you see how far past morning it is. I'm going to be so ready for some camping time if it ever cools off a little here.

This route planning and finding campgrounds in IN is more difficult than Nicky expected.

Image

Found two routes that do decent job of avoiding major cities and Interstates, one thru OH other thru IN. We decided on the IN one but neither have many campgrounds along the way, not to mention spaced the distance we need. Thunderstorms forecast here tonight and tomorrow so may not get as far as we would have wanted.

Sarah, if going through Indiana, look to see if you'll be near Carol and Bill - that would be a great stop :)

Thanks Beth. We did think of that but Nashville is just a little too far west. Would do it if we had a little extra time on the way up.
Might be able to see them on the way back. Have always admired them and would like to meet in person.
