Something Else To Worry About - SLIDERS

No, NOT the White Castle version...this is a property crime.

But mmmmm, the white Castle version sounds good! I haven't had a slider in YEARS.
Here in the south, no White Castle, they have Crystal. Not the same.
I wonder if I could go on a Slider Run...I'm off to find White Castle website.

A good reminder to always lock doors, whether I'm in the car or out. And never leave valuables where they can be seen. I get lazy about this sort of thing. Thanks, Mitch.

I keep my doors locked even when I am getting gas or have just walked a few feet away. IN addition, I lock and close with Velcro strapping my side door when I am traveling.

With all this locking, I will probably lock myself out someday!

I know what you mean Judy, I find myself always locking/looking for keys. Better safe than sorry....

My Jeep locks by itself when I get in or out of it (need to remember to take keys with me! Got locked out of it the first time I got gas after I bought it!). I do put my purse under my seat when I pump my gas anyways (I have a very small purse).

I love sliders (or gut bombs, as we used to call them)!! Whenever I am near a White Castle, I always stop there! I do like Crystals when I go to Florida. I think they taste the same. However, I don't like the frozen ones at all. I was raised on WC sliders. When my parents couldn't get me to eat anything else (I was very fussy), they would take me there and I would eat several of them. They are also really great for after bar hopping! Just hits the spot! :D

I remember this being a big deal years ago - but didn't have the name sliders for it then. It's an easy crime in the sense of shoplifting - they don't think it's "that bad".

Now, you also have me thinking about the "sliders" food - no White Castle up here either. I want one - or two - or several lol

My passenger-side doors are always locked and I lock the driver's door if I leave the van for even a little distance.

One of the things I hate about this new jeep is that when you get out of the car all of the doors unlock instead of just the one you are exiting. I've read thru the book and can't find a way to reset it. I can see I need to be more careful!!

Had WC in Chicago a few years ago, didn't care for them. The BF loved them. I'm a Wendys or Carl's fan.

Where have I been all my life? I have no idea what you all are talking about...White Castle Sliders?!?!?!?!?

As to the warning from Mitch, thank you...yes, always a good idea to get in the habit of locking the car doors.

Have to share....worked at White Castle in Chicago when I was out of school (never had the opportunity for college, etc.) Anyhow, I can tell you this, cause I worked the night shift...(don't know if things have changed since my employment with them), but if you didn't know, there is a basement for storage, bathrooms, changing, etc. Night shift people had to scrub walls, floors, and clean absolutely everything. Their goal was to keep everything shiney, spotless & totally germ free. The parking lots were also swept every night to make sure that part was clean...Before you could be hired by them, you had to get a complete physical & be examined by a doctor. If you weren't healthy in ALL ways, you didn't get hired. BTW, the grills along with everything else on the ground level were also cleaned, polished, scrubbed, etc. every night. The supervisor inspected everything every night to be sure all was up to the high standards WC required. Don't know if they still operate like they did back then, but I hope so. Can only say this, I never, ever saw a bug of any kind there....it was clean! Course back then, coffee was a nickel & burgers were 6 for 99 cents....Guess you can tell how old I am now....

I doubt any place is cleaned that well anymore, and of course, nothing is that cheap anymore either
