Red Bay, AL mini gtg

Let's get together!

Red Bay, AL mini gtg

I was so wonderfully surprised when Sarah (Bluepinecone) boarded her Nicky for the day and drove all the way over to Red Bay (4+ hrs RT) to visit. The service techs had just finished with the last bit of work on RED when Sarah arrived. We then moved RED across the street to Detail Depot to have RED washed. They also have a little sandwich shop, so we sat and had chicken salad sandwiches and got to know one another while the guys washed RED. What a warm, delightful sister Sarah is. I just wished we had more time to spend - the time just flies too fast. Thank you Sarah for taking the day out of your busy schedule to come visit with me. Can't wait to gtg with you again.

Wonderful gtg. So glad that Sarah decided to escape for the day and that you two got to meet. Sometimes you just have to go for it! :)

:D :D :D Always fun to have lunch with a new friend!

Some of us learned to make our driving decisions from the "School of Sharon".....Hey, that's only _____ miles, I can do that!

It is the attitude and willingness not the number of miles driven that gets us out there, over there or down the road aways to meet up with someone....well the thought of good food is helpful, too!

While it made for a very long day, am so glad I had opportunity to meet Red and see her wonderful rig. My camera was acting up (near dead battery) but I got a couple of shots in the small deli where we had lunch.
The menu (note, everything is $5.oo)

I'm am Elvis fan, tickets were cheap then.
Hope I get chance to spend more time with Red when she returns to Red Bay in Dec but that will be weather dependent.

I would have come, but I was down in Forkland (below Tuscaloosa) for those of you familiar with Alabama! Sarah, I see you had your bottle of grapefruit flavored water! (I turned her on to that!) Maybe next time. Wendy
