Hey loop, come back!

Hey loop, come back!

I know it's far from the worst thing to happen, but I already lost the loop for the awning, it's up there, but not where it's suppose to be :?

I can't help you with your awning. Only one of my motorhomes had one and I don't think it ever got opened after I saw what a tornado can do to them. My only advice is don't ever go off and leave it open.

My loop has got wrapped up in the awning before. Had to get a ladder and unroll it manually until the loop appeared. Of course now I have converted to an electric awning, so no more loop (See Martha's advice, lol.)

oh yea, I remember I lost mine once too and did like Liz, had to take the time to unroll it manually, little bit at a time. When I finally got
a hold of the loop I tied a piece of old shoestring to it just to make it longer. Then after that a wind kicked up and while I was trying to
put the awning away the wind caught hold of the edge and put a 6 or 7 inch rip in it and its been rolled up ever since.

If you can get a couple of people to pull out on the awning arms and a person to 'grab' the loop, that is much easier than on the ladder by yourself. I did it twice when I had the 5er and the second time a man tied a piece of rope to the loop.

Yep, happens all the time. Get someone to help you unroll it manually. Then put a piece of clothes line onto the end of the loop so it won't do it again.

Thank you, will get this taken care of but the sky is iffy today and I'm gathering wind and awnings do not get along. I was hoping the guy across the street would be home, but he must have gone to his camp, haven't seen his truck since Friday. Time to get some food on the stove for the week.
