Not so sunny Sunday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

((((( hugs )))) for Catherine.....There are just times when we "know" what we need to do but it helps to have the professionals support our decisions and support us. I just can't talk all that much at that point from "the" phone call, to the visit, to the filling out of forms....so it helps to work with folks that understand.

Got to help a friend at a dog show the last two days. It was humbling. Tomorrow I will be up at Ohio State Fair judging 4-H Dog Showmanship and yesterday I was making all the handling errors myself.  I have never been as coordinated as some of these young folk. :)

Izzy and her puppies are scheduled to arrive here on Friday, August 2......Warning! There will be pictures....

Cathrine, sorry to hear about your Sierra. I had to bring our oldest cat Pepper last week too. Her kidneys were failing and she would hardly eat. One thing about the other cats, the only reason they miss her is because they were getting the food she wouldn't eat. Pepper was 13 or 14. I was know as the cat lover at work and when she was found as a tiny kitten under one of the welding trucks they brought her to me. I had to bottle feed her. My friend named her Pepper and she tried to live up to her name. It was usually her way or no way. The vet said she never learned cat manners because we let her have her own way.

Yesterday I went and hung out with my grandson. We all went shopping at Sam's. Jeremy wanted croissants but his dad didn't want to get them because they come in a large box. Well you know grandmother had to share a box of croissants with him. ;) I have never seen a kid that likes butter and bread as much as he does. Takes after his grandmother.

Sharon, you and Karen are having too much fun. I didn't know they had that many flavors of vodka. Vodka isn't my thing either but if you put it in something else it might be ok. My sister-in-law got me started drinking Bailey's in coffee one time but I had to give that up. My stomach couldn't take it.

Wish I was going to the Ruckus too. One of these years. I need to clean out the refrigerator in the motorhome so I can bring it to get serviced or I won't be going anywhere.

It looks like rain again. It was storming again yesterday. The rain keeps the temperature down but the humidity kill you.

Need to look up a recipe to fry eggplant in the oven. I cooked some squash like that and it was good.

I know it is late, but I just got relaxed after sleeping in very late and then spending some time doing some cleaning and sorting stuff. I had a 315 mile drive yesterday, which is way too much for me. Good roads, however, and some folks in the previous campground had recommended a meat cutter place that sold fantastic pork chops in Buffalo WY. It was the kind of place that advertised wild animal butchering and had only a counter inside with a large chalkboard with items and prices listed. I got two fresh and two smoked pork chops, plus some pork sausage, and some buffalo summer sausage. Here is what one of the 1" thick fresh pork chops looked like last night in my 8" frying pan:

I made a pork chop sandwich and still have some left for today! Relaxing and working today, and then tomorrow I head into Cody to pick up my GPS from UPS and to visit the Buffalo Bill museums. I am told that will take two days, but I will be here for another five days. Got a gorgeous view of the reservoir from my campsite!
