Not so sunny Sunday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Not so sunny Sunday

Postby Irmi » Sun Jul 28, 2013 6:31 am

Good morning everyone!

No, it's not sunny here. In fact, it's very overcast and we have a good chance of rain today. Glad the grass is cut and other chores around the yard done. Will be taking my umbrella to church this morning. I'll be playing the organ this morning as it's the 4th Sunday of the month and I'll play again the second Sunday in August.

It's so exciting to hear about all the GTG's being planned. Still hoping we can join in on the FL GTG in January, but that's still a wait and see situation. Safe travels to those on the road and wishing all of you a wonderful day!

Good morning all,
Beautiful weather here in the midwest - the 50's!!! Loving every minute of it.
Sounds like lots of GTGs happening - wish I could join some of them, but I already have travel plans set in other directions.
I love following all of your adventures & learn so much from all the questions posed.

I also appreciated the Rainbow Bridge posting - I had to let my sweet Sierra go there last week. :( Her kidneys had been failing for quite a while & her legs were slipping out from under her. Our vet helped me make the best decision for her. His kindness & gentleness were exceptional to both of us. Sadie & I are learning to get along on our own now. Found out that Sadie doesn't like to go out in the rain - she only did previously because Sierra led the way. One morning it was lightly raining this week, she just stood at the threshold looking out then back at me as if she was saying ' you coming too?' It's going to be adjustment not to have my gentle sweet companion...

Well, I'd better get moving... hope you all enjoy whatever today brings your way

Later, Catherine

Good morning, all....
It's still raining here.....it goes with my nausea which has been with me since 2am... What's up with that???  But I did manage to sleep....both aren't too bad right now...

We're hoping to go into town for the "Taste of Olean" today....but with this rain, guess it's a wait and see thing....

Well, now, nothing else to report at this minute...so I'll just wish everyone a great day...

Good morning. It's sunny and we'll get a sample of the real AL/MS heat this week. It's been fairly mild till today. We are still sitting here at the Tiffin Service Center campground aka Camp Red Bay aka CRB. Boy, did I have it wrong. I thought we were going to have the days off while they serviced and fixed things. I had PMed members with in a 3 mile drive and hoped to have some mini GTGs. However, it turned out we needed to stay with RED and watch and learn and make decisions about options when offered. Now we are in the waiting phase. Waiting for parts. All "suppose" to arrive Mon or Tues. theses include the brackets for the steering stabilizer, the new mattress, replacement doors for the refrigerator, and satellite receiver box.

I really would like to go home. My daughter is arriving at my house tomorrow night from Korea. She will be staying with us for a while, but I'm anxious to see her. We will be driving home via the Natchez Trace Parkway. Hope everyone has a great day and stay safe. Aloha y'all

EDIT. Catherine, we were posting at the same time. I am so sorry for your loss.. Big (((HUGS)))

Good Morning All...
I too feel your sadness Catherine... you made the right decision for your Sierra... hard for you though... I think we all in here have had to suffer losses so we know your pain...
It is cold this morning... had to say that after the heat of the past weeks...
My daughters dog Augie thought a little after 5 was time to go out so he came in my bedroom and started barking! Silly dog...
I am not going to venture out to church this morning as the seats are hard and my hip does not want to get well...
I love to hear about the gtg's so many going on... Just not sure what will happen this week... keep your fingers crossed please... hope to get some help so I can stay here in my home and travel in Bright Hope..
Have a blessed day everyone

Catherine, very sorry for Sierra's passing, it's never easy on us or their canine siblings.

Kathleen, if you need some word, but can't make it there, my church posts the services on line, usually by Wednesday for the past weekends service.

GOOD MORNING TO ALL!

Kathleen, what do they plan to do with your hip to get it to heal properly? No wonder you have so much pain.

Catherine big hugs to you for your loss of your beloved Sierra. It will be very tough for a long time, for both you and Sadie. Give each other a lot of cozy time together.

Red, what fun times to look forward to spending with your daughter! How exciting!

Another has signed up for the ruckus as of yesterday, and I cannot wait to meet her and her two scotty dogs! It's looking as if we will have a good group to have a camping-good time for the week! I am getting really excited!

It's cloudy, but 75 outside this morning, with a forecast of rain showers and thunderstorms for this afternoon. Sure hope it gets this wet stuff over and done with this week so that the Ruckus will be fair weather! Lots to do here today, like finish the little bit of lawn mowing I didn't quite get to yesterday, wash my trailer, clean out the shelter and get tables and chairs set up in there, touch up the party barn, make a grocery list for the foodstuffs I intend to have ready, and, of course, pick more blueberries!

Last night Richard and I went over the mountain to Jay Green for the free Saturday Night music concert. The group playing was very good, and it was a fun time. I also ran into some long-lost friends/students/faculty members I worked with when I was teaching in AuSable Forks Central School many eons ago. I was reminded of so many fun times back in the 60s!

Gotta get moving here to get stuff done before the rains----hope you all have a great day doing something memorable!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Overcast and a cool breeze here in the Charleston area. Laundry and dog washing morning with a pub crawl later today. It sounded interesting with promises of stories of pirates and ghosts! Yesterday was a farmers market that wasn't and a tasting at Firefly, a vodka distillery. Sweet Tea vodka...who would have thunk it! LOL! I bought some for the kids, not really my thing. But they let us keep the shot glasses, so that was good. Karen gave me hers since I need 2, one for each of the girls. She bought the Lemonade vodka and we both bought a bottle of the Chocolate Pecan Liquer...oh boy, that was really yummy!! Karen said she may have to join me in my evening cup of coffee.

Catherine, so sorry to hear of sweet Sierra crossing the rainbow bridge. So hard to let them go.

Kath, what are they gonna do about your hip? Hope the interviews went well and you can get help to stay in your house!

Hope you get all your repairs done and back on the road, Chris! How long is your daughter going to be state side?

Time to dunk the Chewmonster, have a great day all!

Its overcast here but the sun will be out soon... its been in the mid 80's which is very warm for us.. i guess i shouldnt complain tho.... with all the rain we get during the yr.. its always nice to enjoy some sunshine.... A few mornings we have even had fog! I am hoping that fall wont come to soon.

I got a bicycle at Walmart the other day so plan to take it camping. its one of those "cruisers" with some adjustments as to raising the seat and handle bars so my knees wont hurt...LOL Now i need to look for a little 'horn'.. beep beep

Had a great time at Grayland beach a few weeks ago... seems all or most of the places i go are full for Aug....so will stay around and save for gas money... doenst seem to be going down much.

Everyone have a great day!

Oh Catherine, I'm so sorry to hear about Sierra. It makes me so sad to hear these things, but know it's good to share your sadness with your fiends here. Big, big hugs. Give extra attention to Sadie as you will both need each other. My heart breaks for you. I know sometime in the next few years I will have to face this with my wonderful Krissi, 14 yrs old.
