Early Saturday Morning...I've been up for hours...

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Early Saturday Morning...I've been up for hours...

Postby rvgrammy1953 » Sat Jul 27, 2013 5:13 am

Yep, been up since 3:30am.... :o No special reason other than I went to bed too darn early....but my having a few glasses of wine last evening may have had something to do with that...  And those of you that I called last evening, please excuse me...for some reason I so like to yak on the phone when I'm under the influence...

So, the coffee has been going since then and I've done all my stuff online already....all that is left is to take Spinner out for his morning walk....Geez, I hate that when it happens...You can bet I'll be back in bed again in a little while....

50% chance of rain today....so will be nice napping weather.....

Okay, that's it for now....

Have a great day, all...

Morning Lori,

  I see we were a bit too far into the wine bottle, eh. That was about as bad as me the other day when I went to the local Ice Cream Shop for supper. Drank a bit too much Pepsi and was awake half the night too. But I wasn't talking to anyone under the "influence"

Cool, damp morning here. Cold front came through yesterday and temps are supposed to remain in 60's for weekend with a gradual warm up as the week progresses. Typical for late July. I always say, it's the harbinger of the season that's coming next".

Got the new TT home with no issues yesterday. Did run into one small rain shower, just enough to get the trailer all dirty  So now will have to get the soap and water out. But it's here in the drive and I will be working inside to get it cleaned up (don't we always clean them even if they are new!) and start organizing and storing stuff. Have a few little "projects" to do for the storing part. Mostly adding a shelf here and there. Also have some other ideas as well. And yes, the pictures are posted in the "Show Off Your Rigs" thread.

So today is going to be a pick up the house a bit first thing this morning and then need to go grocery shopping and do a little browsing for some stuff for the trailer while I am out. I won't be doing any shopping ot outfit that right away. That's next weeks job and even then will be done as funds allow. Not sure when the first trip out will be. Need to get organized and see if there is a site I can reserve in Aloha or Burt Lake SP's. Figure the week of the 6th at earliest.

The Flex did a fairly good job of hauling the TT, but the gas mileage sure was crappy. Only 10.6. Course we were fighting a fairly stiff wind all the way home too. Need to double check trailer brakes and probably readjust the tension on the WD bars. Next year I will be looking for another tow vehicle anyway. Need just a bit more towing power., especially on grades. So will be confining my travels to MI for the rest of this year. But the TT itself handles great, very easy to back in and park too.

Nice to see everybody busy making plans for trips or GTG's all over. Soos' Ruckus is only 9 days away and it is looking like there might be a couple of MI GTG's instead of one. The the West Coast gals are having one and folks are already booking the FL GTG. Louise (havingfunnow) and I are planning to meet in Macinaw City at the Rendezvous in Mackinac and 18th Century Market Fair next week. So busy, busy, busy on here. Those of you who are unable to do anything right now, be patient, your time will come.

Am off to balance the check books and all that good stuff. Probably have to go back to work before long :lol.

Good morning Lori & all to follow :D

Oh, that is sooo early, Lori! Well, the nice thing about retirement is that we can have naps during the day, right  ....So far, beautiful & sunny here, but we too are to get rain. Hope not--I'm thinking of a quick, down-the-road over-nighter just to have time in my "woman cave"--which is what my HarBor is to me, now that I think of it  (edit: I've been so poky with this post, that 2 of you snuck in before me  So good morning Sue & Kathleen)

Hey, I forgot to wish Lyn a good trip to the Seirra's--so if you haven't left yet, have a great & safe trip. Sue, did you sleep last night or stay awake with all the excitement of having your new TT :D It's a beauty! Soos, Ruckus very soon! Looks like I'll be there the towards the beginning of the week. Kathleen, I do hope your friend will understand if you can stay in your home & want Shadow back, & if she's any kind of friend, she'll return him to his real home. :D Glad you're enjoying Augie....

Looking forward to traveling to MI with Peg & Liz!!!! & looks like a gtg with Donna (& Lori?) on my way back from the midwest. Life is good! :P

Another cup of coffee & off to help my cousin fence in her deck for the new little stray she picked up yesterday! Y'all have a great day, good health, & safe travels always! 8-)

good morning ladies, slept good last night and woke up rested. My mind is racing with planning stuff for the rv. I tend to do that
when I'm broke, go figure. One more week and the paychecks start rolling in again. :D
Laundry day of course, (cause its Saturday) and cleaning out drawers and my closet. Seems I've acquired a few too many shirts and
shorts over the summer. Time to weed out the old faded ones.
Thats about it from my neck of the woods. Ya'll have a great day and be safe.

'Morning ladies,
Must be something in the air - I did not sleep well last night either.

Wish I had taken the camera with me when I met Wendy (readytogo) for lunch Thursday so you could see her new hair color. She is now a blond and it is very becoming on her.

Finally got back to check on Magic too. The fridge is holding at 40 degrees so I'm hoping there was no long term damage from letting it run too long at really bad angle. Guess time will tell.

Trying to decide if I'm going to go buy another TV today. My antique analog TV which I use with the Wii died a few weeks ago. I really need to get back to work on balance exercises so probably worth getting new TV, especially since they are relatively cheap.

In case you missed the story, there are 3 campgrounds closed in California due to risk of plague:

"The sick squirrel, which was trapped in mid-July in California's Angeles National Forest and underwent routine testing, prompted the closure of three campgrounds after it tested positive for the plague. The Los Angeles Daily News reports Broken Blade, Twisted Arrow and Pima Loops of the Table Mountain campgrounds were closed Wednesday."

Have a great day

Morning!

Kathleen - I get the nose bump on the bed from one of mine and Oscar will come up and lick me in the face if I roll over towards the edge of the bed in the mornings. He's moving really slow this morning, poor pup.

The plague is transmitted to humans by fleas from infected animals so I hope no one in CA has been to the parks in question or had dogs that could get infected as well.

So must be the phase of the moon, I couldn't sleep last night either, wide eyed until about 3:30 then of course the dogs don't need an alarm they get up at six. I thought yoga would never end this morning. I am headed for a nap very soon.
The plague!!! Good grief what next!! Wonder where the source of that started.
I hope you get a new TV Sarah sounds like it is time. I had Mediacom put us on the basic plan which is supposed to be 23 channels, ha!! Most of those have no signal or are constant commercials. Trying to get Direct TV through an independent but so far no luck. He was supposed to come Friday morning at 9:30 haven't seen or heard anything yet so will just call Direct TV on Monday. I like to use someone local but guess they don't need the business. Wish you had taken your camera to lunch with Wendy would like to see her as a blonde! Is she having more fun...I had to ask you know. :)
