Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Still Chilly Friday Along the Alleghany

Good Friday morning, all..

It's 44F here along Alleghany River this morning....The propane tank ran out over night, so have the heat pump going in the A/C unit until Ernie wakes up....He'll change it out later.

Judy, enjoyed the photos of the buffalo....I took lots of photos of them last year while at Custer State park and Yellowstone...to the point that Ernie told me I wasn't allowed to take anymore.... ;)

My pre-testing went well yesterday...I'll be glad when all of this is over...I just feel overwhelmed sometimes....to the point of confusion...too much to take in at times...so I'm glad I have some down time between appts....

Okay, got the hot coffee going here and how about some oatmeal this morning, Gang??

Have a great day, all...

Glad to hear your pre test went well.

I am in a hotel in Elkhart, IN, right now. I am here to get some minor work done on Miss Kitty while I am still under warranty. The paint around the windshield was peeling so Nexus had to have the company that does the paint redo it and I could not stay in Miss Kitty. I took a half hour shower to make me feel better. I did not sleep as good.

I guess I will do more sightseeing until they call me to tell me Miss Kitty is ready.

Good Morning everyone,

Lori, glad to hear your test went well. I'm sure you are definitely going to be glad when this is all over. The oatmeal sounds good this morning. That's what I had for breakfast too along with a bowl of strawberries. Roadweaver, sorry about the paint job. Hopefully you will be on the road shortly.

I'm going to be on the road shortly too. Trailer pickup day today. Also will be having brake controller installed this morning. My apt. is at 9, it's about an hours drive, so will be out of here in a little while. Need to stop by gas stations and fill up a little first. Am hoping weather eill cooperate and let me get home without driving through the rain that is predicted today. First wave went through early this morning and gave every thing a good soaking. We need it. Down about .44 for the month of July but around an inch expected here by tomorrow morning.

Can't wait to get the TT home and start working on it. Won't be hauling off to any campground for at least a week though. Things to do and get organized and parks are really busy right now. Can't get into my favorites up here right now, so will wait patiently. They do have some non reservable sites on a first come first serve basis, but sometimes they are not the most desirable sites. No hurry. I need to haul all my stuff from the other TT out and go through it and figure out where it's going to go and make a couple of shelves in a cupboard etc. So will be having fun outfitting it for now.

Judy, love the pics of the buffalo. Passed your posts on to my friend as she is leaving on Wednesday and will be going through that area. I can tell you are enjoying it. Travel safe my friend.

So guess I had better get a move on here. Hope you all have a wonderful day out there.

Good morning all :D

Glad to hear pre-tests went well Lori! Hey, how about a gtg at your place with Donna? Could catch you & Donna on my way back from IL (late Aug, which would be after your surgery)...

So good to see you, Anita! How time flies, & you're on your way east now. Sorry to hear about the dental issues, but at least you're at "home" with the family :) Sue, getting your TT today!!! :P Now, how about a trip to a Montague gtg?? ;) :D

Kathleen :D Possibly staying in your home--wow, I'll be praying for you!!! Will you have time for me to visit while I'm at my sis's in Champaign--mid August? I sure hope so! Roadweaver, there's a "river walk" in Mishawaka not far from Elkhart, & Notre Dame U is a beautiful campus. I was there last summer when visiting a friend, whom I plan to see on my upcoming midwest trip.

Still cooler here, so more yard work is on my agenda today. Friday already! Hope everyone has a great start to the weekend, especially those of you still having to work all week :( .

Y'all have a great day & safe travels always 8-)

Good Morning ... oh coffee is good as the temp is down... oatmeal is great Lori... those tests are so bothersome... I had my thyroid taken out about 50 years ago there were tumors 2 1/2 in in diameter... have not had a problem since just the pill each day... I pray for the best for you...
Oh yes Carol do come on over... will love to see you and your gang!!
Sue you must be on pins and needles... can't wait to see your new joy!
If the paint is drying and you want to come to Normal Il just let me know... glad the work is under warrantee... those are the kind you need done... I am a bit afraid about motel beds anymore... bugs rampant...
Oh Judy so that is where the buffalo roam... nice pictures...
I did pass to get help with the electric... now the home health assessment is Tuesday...
Yes if I can stay in my home I am trying to get the nerve up to ask for Shadow back... I am so afraid she will say NO... she loves him but she has only had him for 2 months... I will wait and ask my daughter to help me... please those of you that pray pray that the right thing will happen... first things first...
Augie had a great night... I forgot to put his treats up high left them on the computer tray... and yes he ate the whole bag...
Irmi thank you so much I know you would help... you are such a wonderful person...
Not sure what happens today but hope you all have a good one...

Morning all!

Can't wait to see pics of Sue's new baby! That model came out a couple years after I got mine and I wish it had been out then - guess which one I would have gotten???? :D :D :D

Hot, hot, hot here still and predicted to be so through the weekend and into next week. But come January, I will be glad I'm where I am and not up north! It would nice to be retired and be able to chase the optimum temperature. I do believe that I could make MI my summer home - it's a gorgeous state. Someday I will get my pictures posted.

good morning ladies,
working off my cell phone tether today as my router went out yesterday. Its only 7 months old so Cox communications says to bring
it in and swap it out, its under warranty.
Did the last day of summer school yesterday, so now I'm done until the 31st when I pick my route, pick up new uniforms and do the
annual drug test.
Glad the pretests went well for you Lori, and Sue...excited about getting the new tt home. Hoping the assessment goes well for
you Kathleen and Carol? are you on the road?
Living in a sauna right now :o  its just what happens during monsoon season in Arizona. I'd be as happy as a bug in a rug if
we had a/c but at least we have fans. This is the kind of stuff that convinces me to get my rv out of storage and set it up so I don't
go through this next summer. One step at a time ;) and right now that step is all towards the wedding. Besides, my transporter
person doesn't get back to Arizona until October so hopefully we're looking at November. Its all part of the dream, as my mother
would say when I was a child...."you live in a dream world" like that was a bad thing, at least I make things happen in my dream
world.
Well, Maggie is bugging me for her breakfast so guess I'll do that and grab me another cup of coffee. Ya'll have a great day and
be safe. Happy travels to those on the road.

GOOD MORNING TO ALL!

Lots of things going on at this breakfast hour today. A new trailer will be picked up, Kathleen might get to stay in her own house, Lori is finished with some tests and will be on to the next steps, Ava and Maggie are roasting slowly, Sandersmr (for the life of me, I can't think of your real name!) is cooking slowly, too, Carolb is still making travel/visiting plans (and one of those better be the Ruckus in just about 9 days now!), and all's getting right with the world----hopefully!

Does anyone know where the Women's Banner ended up that I mailed to PA? Sure would be nice to have it here again now. I just hope it went to the address I was given and that it's ok.

Richard is due to come in today, and my plan is to mow when the grass dries off enough to not clog the mower.

I re-arranged the trailer again yesterday, and made the dinette area (minus one bench and table that is not free-standing) into a more hospitable user space....Orion helped me! :) After looking at the used trailer the night before, and seeing how much smaller it is than this one, I decided I'd best be happy with what I have for at least another while. My only worry with this new "arrangement" is whether it will bear the rides down the roads without totally falling apart and making a mess in here. I would hate to have to take it all apart every time I haul somewhere. Oh well----we shall see.

Happy Friday to all!

Lori, I'm so glad your pretesting went well. Down time is a good thing, too! It's such a dilemma -- we see doctors and have surgery when we're ill, but we really need to be at the top of our game to deal with the medical people. Unfair! :D

Sue, you're bringing home the new trailer! Exciting!

Oh, Kathleen, staying home will be so great! I'll think good thoughts your way on Tuesday.

Soos, I am just grinning at the thought of Orion helping you reorganize the trailer. You sure are getting that little guy started out right!

Happy Friday, everybody.

After getting hardly any sleep night before last, I slept in until 11:00 am today! Wonderful. I just can never manage to stay asleep all night. I get up several times, head for the bathroom, get something to drink, turn on the TV at low volume, read a book--everything and anything to get settled down again. This has been my life for the past 20 years, even after seeing a sleep doctor.

Anyway, what counts is that I can function during the day. Today is going to be one where I just work and maybe bake some brownies, so stop by later!

Louise, I miss my motorhome and worry about it too when it is getting repaired! And I don't sleep as well when I am without it. That means you and I are at home in our "homes on the road."

Sue, I am go happy you are picking up your new trailer today. It has been a long decision for you and it looks like this one is really perfect for you.

Hope everything works out for everyone with health problems. That worries me so much on the road. I am taking the opportunity when I am in Napa in late September where my son lives to see a dermatologist and orthopedic surgeon. I still have some sore places and swelling on my knees after my fall last December. I have 7 and 4-year-old replacement knees, and I think this is just soft tissue damage, but I would feel better if a knee replacement surgeon x-rayed them and evaluated what my problems are. I should have seen my own surgeon in Michigan, but too late for that now.
