Non RV Travel?

Postby BirdbyBird » Mon Jul 22, 2013 6:22 pm

I am in the process of planning a trip out to the Bar W Guest Ranch in Whitefish, MT probably for the last week in Sept. for their "CowGirl Up" week. My other choices are another Girl's only week about the second week in October and an Adult's only week that first week in Oct. They have a nice web site if you want to check it out. My cousin's daughter has been there and said the land is beautiful. One day they trailer the horses up towards Glacier National Park...... :) She said after the first day of riding you are sore and stay that was but you don't care because MT and the country you ride through is so beautiful.

I will be going by myself at this point but thought I would mention it if anyone else had something similar on their bucket list. :) This far into the season it looks as if my options will be one of the larger cabins so there would be private sleeping quarters if anyone is interested. (That is what I get for making slow decisions.... )

PM me if you are interested in spending some of your RV gas money in other ways.... I will be calling the woman tomorrow to make my reservations and let them know that I am willing room with another camper if they get any requests.

So, what the heck is your problem bunking with a cowboy as a roomie?
THAT's DESCRIMINATION, if you ask me. Cowboy discrimination.

CArol we know that you get to be around all the cowboy eye candy every time you head out to Colorado to visit your son. But then you never share your picture with Mitch either!

If he's there, count me in!!! :D

I have always wanted to go to a dude ranch out west! If I had the money I would go with you. I will be anxious to hear all about it! And see pics, of course!!!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

I figured that I had better go while I think I can still get on a horse and walk afterwards......I don't know how much longer this body will cooperate with my bucket list and dreams.....

Sigh.....maybe one day I'll get to do a trip like this. When I was is Jr. High I used to ride horses all the time with a neighborhood friend. That's been a long time ago, but I think I could still do it.

Wow, a lot of difference between a guest ranch and a dude ranch. That place is unreal for amenities.
You will love it. I so enjoyed my time at the 63 Ranch in Livingston, MT. Looking forward to hearing/seeing about your experience there.

Glacier National Park is amazing - you'll love the scenery! As for the cowboy, he would need a few distinguished looking gray hairs for me to be interested. I have sons that age, and that's too creepy!
