Sunny Sunday

Morning all,

Beautiful Sunday morning here in Northern Michigan. Temp around 50 degrees. Perfect. From what I'm reading on yesterday's MC, it sounds like the cold front is working it's way south and many of you are enjoying much cooler temps. Still some rain for some though.

Lori, hope you had fun at the graduation/going away party yesterday. Ava, that dress is beautiful on you. CArol, seems like all you are dong is mowing grass of late  But with all you rain, I can see why. Louise, I didn't take my camera with my to Hartwick Pines yesterday. But it was a fun thing to go too. Lots of booths set up among the trees with weavers, people doing wood burnings, wood carvers, blacksmiths etc. And old time music being played in one area. Also an old time reenactment group of land surveyors. A lot of the demonstration folks were dressed in period costumes. And their wares were for sale. I bought a really neat wood burning scene of a log cabin on wood and also a handmade iron fire poker for my campfires and my backyard fire pit. And now that I finally have had my computer checked out and had to buy a card reader cause the built in one in the computer is shot, I have the picture from the U.P. loaded and ready to go into Photobucket. Will be posting them in a little while. By the way Louise, did you get your van from a private owner or a dealer. I've been looking for one up here, but they are hard to find and if I do find one, it's got way over100,000 miles.

Yep, Carolb, sounds like a MI GTG is definitely in the works. I will be scouting out the county park today and finding out some info to pass along to everybody if they decide that's the way they want to go. And once we get it all together, hope to find out who wants to do dome touring of MI and where and if they want to go together or individually. Guess maybe I should get that TT I have been looking at so I can joing the group if there's some traveling to be done, don't cha think.

Ah, Ms. Sassy has finally decided to roll out of bed. Guess she is sleeping in after all the hot weather. Plus she had a busy afternoon yesterday as we walked around Otsego Lake State Park and also was out with me later in the evening while I did some weeding and we took a short walk in the neighborhood.

Well, time to get rolling here. Want to go after my Sunday paper. Enjoy your cooler Sunday everybody.

Good Morning everyone... I have my daughters dog Augie and he has shut down as they sometimes do when their family is gone... he has just laid by the door ever since he got here... I put him out on the deck a bit ago so he could do his business if he wanted to... it is a bit cooler here this morning was 70 at 6...
Take care

Good morning everyone. Another sunny day in Red Bay. Just for kicks I check GeoCache this morning and found one that was just a mile walk down the road. So Tyler and I went GeoCaching :P Now, both of us are drinking lots of water. I hoped in the shower and now trying to decide what to eat. The campground has a lot of empty spots over the weekend. Many take their rigs and park in more pleasant surroundings for the weekend and return for service Sunday eves. There are only 3 spots available. First come, first serve.

Don't know what we'll do today for fun. However, yesterday we drove over to Tupelo to a beautiful gun club with skeet, trap, sporting clays. They have 40 FHU sites for RVs at $10 night if you are using the shooting range. $25 for non-shooters. We may park there next weekend as a base for exploring Tupelo. Then we went to a movie and saw RED 2. I love the actors, Bruce Willis, John Malkovich, Mary Louise Parker, Anthony Hopkins and Catherine Zeta Jones. It was so much fun and laughter.

Whether you're on the road or not, stay safe and have a great day. Aloha y'all :P

good morning ladies
we finally got a good rain last night, it felt so good and I could hear the neighborhood out shrieking with delight.
Tearing apart my room today, giving it a good vacuuming and then a good mopping. Thats about all the energy
I'm going to muster up as usually Sunday is my lazy day.
Time for a coffee refill and a little toast. Ya'll have a great day and be safe.

Morning All, lots of people up bright and early....oh wait I am on the West coast you all have a head start on me.

It has been consistently HOT here and I am sick of it. I have actually gotten a lot done in the house tho while I am hibernating. Cleaned out my walk in closet yesterday, now have some tubs for the storage and a couple bags for the Goodwill, and of course a couple bags for the trash. I watched a Hoarders show that got me motivated LOL

Made my reservations for a week in Las Vegas the end of October. I am going to a Conference there and it is only 2 days but lots of other activities before and after with some of my fellow nurses. Someone mentioned Zip lining in Downtown Fremont street.....ummm think I will skip that one ha ha I am driving my car down there not the Motorhome because I will need to get home after that......I need to take an assignment for the winter. Have to replenish my slush fund for the summers off. Perish the thought!!!! So it wouldn't be cost effective to drive that far in the Motorhome with the price of gas when I am only staying a week.

Anyone in the Vegas area around that time??

Going to a neighbors today to help her hook up her router. Charter wanted to charge her $10 a month for theirs. She got this one from a friend and it is still in the box so should have all the parts LOL

Well have a load of laundry in and need to wash the kitchen floor so I better get my butt in gear.
