Backup Camera? Worth it?

I did not like the back up camera on my motor home. I just got out and looked if I was concerned about the picnic table etc. Yes, do not forget to look up!
Get your hand signals coordinated with each other unless you want to shout and argue and entertain the other campers watching you.
Most of all, have fun!!! This is a great adventure that you are going to enjoy once you get started. Oh yes, use disposable gloves when dumping....very inexpensive at the dollar store. lyn

I bought one of these last summer and love it.

I am hooked up in less that 5 minutes usually. Hardest thing was getting used to backing up with the mirrir to mirrow. It telescopes high enough to be above the bed of the truck so you can see. Best 25.00 I have spent. I started with the balls and wasn't happy with them at all.

I got, l installed, looked, took down and returned one. Would I try one again, yes, but like Mitch says, there is no substitute for getting out and looking.

I absolutely love my backup camera that I ordered built-in to my Ford truck. I put a big piece of orange tape on my ball cap, and I can line up my ball perfectly. Then I have the sonar beeps to tell me when I am right under the ball cap----amazingly so much easier than getting out, backing up, going forward, re-aligning, backing up again, getting out, looking, re-adjusting, ad nauseam! This is for my trailer ball-cap-fastener and my truck ball. I can turn my beeper off after I am all hitched so it won't go off incessantly if I have to back up the trailer. I also love my back-up camera when I am in the truck alone and have to back up.

I'm completely interested in the serious answers! I'm also laughing so hard I can't see. I think it's best if I just put on a straight face and go stand in the corner. My sense of humor gets me in all kinds of trouble.

I'm not sure how my husband did it but he could back up really well and quite often hitch it up by himself
me not so good need that helper back there
but one thing we had note had (the monitor isn't working) is a rear view camera..makes it so nice to "see" the traffic behind you
that you can't see...if it totally necessary no...but I really liked being able to see that person just behind and know when it was safe to do a
lane change..
