Casey's Hip

Postby SoCalGalcas » Wed Jul 17, 2013 9:27 am

Casey slept all day yesterday except for very short walk outside to urinate. The meds are keeping her comfortable. This morning I noticed it hurts her to bend to pee. It's that left hip which is angry with arthritis. I've given her her AM meds and she is sleeping now.
Ava, your Maggie is darling!!! Thanks for the picture. lyn

It's so hard to see our babies in pain.
I'm glad the meds are keeping her sleeping - time to heal.

Poor Casey, I've heard glucosamine works wonders with arthritis.
Thank you, Maggie is a love and I'm very lucky to have her picked me.

Glucosamine Chondroitin did wonders for a friend's dog.

Poor Casey. I gave shark powder to my shepherd/lab mix. The vet recommended it and it worked for her. She stayed puppy like until the last 4 months. She loved it. It does smell, but as far as Sandy was concerned, the smeller the better. She had raunchy smell radar. Linda

Poor girl. I hope all the sleeping lets her start healing.

And I gave glucosamine (rec by my vet) to a dog for a couple years - helped him tremendously.

Thanks for all your "well wishes" for Casey. The vet recommended Gluc & Cond which I have ordered. I told the vet it didn't help my arthritis, but she said to try it on Casey anyway.
Now switch prayers to Ava and Pixie after last nights tumble. lyn
