Good Morning Lori and all to follow. Praying things go smoothly with your medical issues. We made it to Red Bay, AL. Or MS. It is right on the border. Although the city limits quit at the border, the MS side is still called Red Bay. This will be an experience. The good part is that the "camp ground" is free for the first year you own your rig. The Tiffin Forum call it Camp Red Bay (CRB). The bad part is a waiting game. When a specialty bay, like appliances, has an opening they call you the day before and your rig goes into that bay. If they have a cancellation or no show, they call the next on the list and if you are not here for that call, you loose out and go to bottom of the list. So no sight seeing for us except on the weekends until we know more about how things work around here.

At least we are not alone. There are 95 other Tiffin rigs and their owners parked in 3 rows at CRB waiting for/ or in the process of getting service. Then there are another 30 rigs without owners waiting for service as well. Everyone is very nice although it can be a stressful time. The service bays are open 7:30-4. When the sun starts to set and it is a bit cooler, lots of owners put their chairs in the front of their rigs while others walk their dogs, ride bikes or just stroll and meet, greet and generally discuss the goings on of the day for them. Very sociable.

We are at the very far end of the CRB from the office and the wifi hardly works. But I got our my booster antenna and climbed as high up the ladder as I could and secured that puppy and now I have O.K. wifi depending on how many other of the 95 people are using it. Most have their own wifi. That it from Red Bay. Everyone have a good day and stay safe. Aloha y'all

good morning ladies
Lori, your on my prayer list as you go through this journey with all these appts.
Donna, I always make take my blinds down and dip them in the bathtub of soapy water. I use laundry soap to wash them.
Then I would drain the tub and use the shower hose to rinse, then hang on the fence to dry. easy peasy
Can't believe its only Wednesday, that little taste of freedom I had for June has me chomping at the bit to do it again and
of course we all know that can't happen just yet. Suffering from wanderlust I guess, and theres no pill for that. :P :D
Another storm rolled through here last evening and again I didn't get a drop.
Time to get ready for work. I'll check in with ya's later. Ya'll have a great day, be safe and good weather to ya.

Lori - I have found the repellent wipes work really well and you don't have to worry about which way the wind is blowing and what else you might be spraying. I needed them with the "state bird" of Michigan.

Red - that does sound like an interesting way of doing things - hope y'all get your stuff done quickly, although it sounds like that depends on how many different bays you need to visit.

Donna - yay for getting one floor done. And I remember my mom cleaning the big venetian blinds like Ava described when I just a child - even more so, I remember my grandmother doing hers. That was one reason that mini blinds were supposed to be so good - they could be more easily cleaned while in place.

It's raining here again today. And our temps are lower than y'all on the east coast - really strange summer.

Good Morning All, I had one mosquito in my bedroom last night!!! They love me too! All my mosquito repellent is packed in the camper awaiting my trip to the high sierras next week.
Reported on Casey in Pets. My daughter has a pet ramp for me to borrow for our trip.
I remember those waits at the dealers for service. Had that with my Trek before it burned up!
Off to get a hair cut, then buy the wine for the trip. Oh yes, and Wal-Mart...got to make and freeze the food for "my night for serving dinner at camp". lyn

Good Morning

Magic is back in her spot at campground and I turned the fridge on late yesterday. Will go back this afternoon to see if working. Keeping fingers crossed.

Hope to work something out to meet Red before she leaves AL and maybe even catch up with Wendy (readytogo) one day next week.

Humidity awful, dreading going out today.
Stay cool and safe, ladies

Thirty minutes ago, head index here was 105. It has dropped to 102. ACK!
And I have outside work to do today...

(Soos, I have to thank you for "ACK". Sometimes, it's just the perfect word.)

I agree Mitch ACK is the perfect word at times, my thanks to Soos too! And Mitch what ever work needs to be done outside please let it wait !!! It is supposed to cool down on Friday. Everyone else try to keep cool it is clouding up here so we may get a brief break with the clouds. For some reason the rain frequently misses us.
A friend brought me some fried bass awhile ago and it was the best thing I've had in ages yumm.
Red hope they get your work finished quickly.
And yes I drawled all day yesterday and didn't do any work, my desk is in serious need or organizing.

We have a heat advisory again today thru tomorrow. So far it is only 88 with a heat index of 92.

My air conditioner is in my living room and the cool air doesn't get into the bedroom very well, even with a fan blowing it that direction. Last night, my bedroom was horribly hot and stuffy, so I dragged out my airbed and set that up in the living room and slept there last night. Felt like I was camping all over again (except without the mosquitos!). Probably will do that again tonight as well.

I moved the ferret cage into the living room last week because ferrets don't sweat and can't handle the heat well. So they are nice and cool and happy now. :D

Red, sounds like you have to "hurry up and wait..." to get your rig checked out. Hope it happens soon!

Stay cool where ever you are!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

It was 95 after lunch and a thunder/lightning storm came through and cooled things off. A friend called from work and wanted to know if we had power. She is about a half mile from us and lightning struck at the plant and knocked out the radios and part of the phone system. I was washing dishes and could see the storm coming so decided to get away from the water. Yesterday a lady got struck by lightning in a grocery store some where in South Louisiana. They think it came through the sprinkler system. That's scarey, most businesses have sprinkler systems.

Red, looks like you could leave your keys with the shop if you want to leave and they could move your motor home. It kills me to have to wait around for a call or someone to show up. The majority of the time I'm not doing anything but if I can't leave I can think of many things I want to do.

For those mentioning problems with mosquitos, I just read an article that said if you drink alcohol mosquitos will prefer you over someone who doesn't partake :o . Also if you're type O blood they'll like you better too. My daughter always says I'm full of useless information

Poor Spinner and you! Spray some listerine around and that will hold the skeeters off for a little while and it's not as harmful to you and Spinner. Praying that all gets under control with the new GP.

Coffee was wonderful, thank you.

Have a great day as well, hopefully it won't be quite as humid.
