Boats, Kayaks and Ponies

I am about to turn the Short Bus towards Ohio tomorrow but the trip will be slow if I can take some of the two lanes....

Have been visiting friends and then traveled on to visit Chincoteague and Assateague Islands on my own.

Tina, I would have loved to be there to kayak and see the ponies.

Looks like a great trip, good idea to have a guide and be able to get closer to the ponies.

Hope you can take a very slow trip back to Ohio.

Thanks for the great tour, Tina! The place looks pretty much the same as it did when I was last there many years ago, and I am happy to see this. I would have loved to have kayaked or canoed back then, but I had neither. I tented, though, and loved exploring the beaches.

Have a good trip to Ohio----sure wish you could head north instead and make the Ruckus, but maybe next year!

I remember when I was young, reading books about the ponies. I would love to go see them! I hope all the ponies get good, loving homes, and not headed to the meat market. :(

Enjoyed your post Tina. Thanks for sharing. We saw what looked to be a herd of wild horses in Idaho a month or so ago. It was so neat to see.

I'd never heard of the swamp or the island ponies, so I have another someday destination thanks to your post, Tina. So glad you made time to take us along.
