we bought one of the big gallon jugs of Home Defense and it has a battery operated continuous sprayer. It works really
good.

My dad's yard had several huge black ant mounds this year (black carpenter ants) so my brother put down some poison stuff on the mounds and that seemed to get rid of them. You might want to check your yard for ant mounds like that.
