Girls day out

No, neither Beth nor I had a bra malfunction! This is Beth's friend Connie.

We had lunch - excellent Creamy Tomato Basil Soup. But this was the real reason we went there. This is the list of Cheesecake they serve. Not all of them everyday, although they can be ordered. But there were at least ten flavors. I had White Macadamia, I think Beth had Hot Fudge Cheesecake. Was that right Beth?

We took a drive along our favorite Street, Water Street, Rockport, by the way. This is the house we mentioned before. We want someone to buy the big house in front. Beth and I will each take one of the small matching houses behind it in exchange for light housekeeping. I met the owner today, but she didn't take me up on my offer.

This is the mailbox outside the house. People keep taking her shells.

Then we went to the Maritime Museum. Note deck, more on that later.

Remember that deck? Beth was freezing in the cold wind.

Me - pointing at - what?

We went to a store that Beth had heard of from ads on the radio. She was disapointed that it wasn't a porn shop. The shop was called "Oh My!" Okay, I'm lying!!! I bought this shell hanging and a washable rug. They had a beautiful cat called duke. The incredible turquoise of its eyes hardly come through.

This is the photo of the cat I meant to post. The pics in photbucket upload are so small sometimes it's hard to tell what they are.Still not as gorgeous as the actual animal, bet better.

Looks like a really fun day. I loved the knots & nets. I could smell the sea air.

We found that restaurant on a different soirree into Rockport - and because of the cheesecake, I said we had to go back with my friend Conni - who LOVES cheesecake. It's one sweet I can take or leave, but of course, I didn't leave it this time lol Yes, I had the hot fudge cheesecake. But I'd go back there for that soup - again and again. Oh, they had a whole selection on the board of cheesecakes you have to be 21 to order - that contain alcohol :) I wasn't interested - there was still enough alcohol coursing through my veins from the previous night, I'm sure.

The rug Sparkle shows in her house is the one I picked out for me, then decided not to buy cuz I think it's too big for the spot I want to put it. Am going to measure and if not, will go back and we'll have matching rugs LOL - they are wonderful. I found them online, and his price was on the money - can't get it more than $1 cheaper, then more with shipping. However, there are lots more selections (hard to believe as he had so many there). That store was really fun - not the typical dodads. And Duke was absolutely gorgeous.

place, I'd want to sample them all! I'll take a platter to go, thank you

Brandy Alexander cheesecake here,... or maybe Kaluha,.... or maybe the Choc Grasshopper,.... of course there is .... better stop torturing myself!

I loved the cat's eyes. I'm a cat person,.. and Middy glares at me when I even think about getting a second cat. She's the princess on this hill and she never lets me forget it.

You two are having such a great winter and doing so many fun things.
