Summer in the South - Biloxi

Postby Redwahine » Fri Jul 12, 2013 6:31 pm

I finally got our week in Biloxi posted on my blog. I might get the hang of this blog thing eventually. We wound up moving to a new spot at the RV park so we could use the wifi  Left today and drove up to Greenville, AL area and will be here for the weekend.

As I read your blog I was thinking of how I would have normally been wondering why you haven't headed to a cooler climate but it's already the middle of July and we have really only had one or two uncomfortably hot days in AR. Ava made comment about the white sand...of course it is pretty in the Biloxi area but one day she must see the sand and waters in Destin, FL...
I've been sporatic with checking in on WRV the last couple of months with getting my home and yard back in shape. My brother, Hogan, his 11 year old son and I made our first camping excursion last week..this was to start getting him comfortable with hooking up, pulling and parking. He did really good considering he hasn't pulled anything bigger than a utility trailer. We will be planning more extended trips now and of course he and Hogan will make some on their own.
Where are you headed after Al?

Looks like a nice trip. Maybe next year we'll head for the Gulf coast. Thanks for sharing.

Glad to see you post on the forum Nancy. We had originally planned to go up to Yellowstone and that area for summer. However, the new coach has issues and we are headed to the manufacturer, Tiffin, up in Red Bay, AL. So we decided to just make a vacation in the south while making the pilgrimage to Red Bay. Wanted to take advantage of the generous offer from Birdie to house/property sit  We did drive over to Destin, FL and you are right, wow, what beautiful, white sand on that coast. I posted pictures on my Biloxi section of my blog :x Depending how long we are in Red Bay, we plan to drive the Natchez Trace Parkway from Tupelo, MS to Natchez, LA then on home to Houston. :P
