Wow, I'm up early...but that's me....when I wake up, I'm up.... ;) Even Spinner thinks it's too early as he hasn't lifted his head off his bed yet...and of course, Ernie's still "sawing logs"....so I'll hang out on the internet for awhile...drinking my coffee...

Have a calm day scheduled for today....and it looks like today will be the last of the "rain" for a few days....We really need to have things dry up here....and the lady who runs the place needs to mow the grass cause the "Skeeters" are carrying us away....

Well, guess that will be it for now....Coffee's ready and some raisin toast done...help yourself....

Have a great day, all...

Good morning Lori & all to follow :D

Hey Lori, you're in NY now, right? Oh yes, all this rain--do wish we could send some out west to put out the fires. How we missed a chance of rain yesterday, I don't know. But it's on it's way for later this morning, so I imagine you've already had it in western NY???

Yep, humidity is extensive this year & so many mosquitoes! Can't even enjoy the "cooler" mornings or evenings without getting bites galore, & that's the thing that really bothers me--I love sitting outside those times, but can't do it much this summer  Not to mention, I've been very lax about walking the poopers--for the same reasons, too hot during the day, too buggy morning & evening UGH! Hoping things will be a little nicer in VT...

Martha, I missed a few days, so didn't know you were on the road to FL. Glad it's been a safe trip, & a fun challenge with son & g'son ;) Sue, don't know what your needs are for a "last" rig, but I do enjoy my class b for the ease of getting around, not needing to tow anything. But as many do, a rental car at a destination works too, right Red? ;)

A few errands today, then I'll begin getting HarBor ready to leave in the a.m. Y'all have a great day & be safe wherever you are 8-)

Good morning, I was up early too, but for the first time in a very long time I slept through the night until 5:30!! Sounds like Lori and Carolb are having Southern Illinois weather, it is always too hot & humid and too many bugs here to enjoy being outdoors during much of the summer. The weather here is one of the main reasons I have always wanted and still would like to live some where else. I love the coast of CA,OR and WA the air is so easy to breathe. But as I'm not where it is cool, I need to get organized and head to the store while it is the coolest part of the day. DH does most of the shopping but there are a few things I like to buy myself.
Have a good trip to Vermont Carol! Lori hope the rain and mosquitoes give you a break soon. I wish Spinner would talk to Toby about sleeping in!

Morning all! And we live with the heat, humidity and mosquitoes year round here - why? Well, I don't rightly know other than this is where I was born and raised and right now, it's where my job is. But I did enjoy my visit up north, mosquitoes and all - I just went around smelling like DEET all the time.

Had dinner with my sis last night. Just saw her about 10 days ago but I enjoy visiting with her. She had been to Norway to see the new grandbaby! I'm jealous. I will get to meet the little darling at Christmas if not before.

Good morning everyone. WE are still sitting across the street from the beach at Biloxi. Will probably stay here until Fri then head north. The weather is warm again after all the rain. It is blue skye, sunny and warm with a beautiful ocean breeze. It will be hot and muggy by afternoon but after the sun goes down that ocean breeze makes it delicious. Tyler and I took a long walk along the beach last night and I would have slept on the beach if I could. We have a rental car and drove along the gulf shore national reserve over to Destin, FL. We just wandered along the beautiful white sand dunes with the inland coastal waterway on our left and the gulf on our right and the further east we got the bluer the water got. DH was frustrated because sections of the road the speed limit was only 20 to protect the nesting birds. Today is another poker day for DH and I have the car to go wandering down and rent a jet ski, shop, do whatever!!! Everyone have a great day and stay safe. Aloha y'all

Good morning everyone...
Spending a little quiet time in the van 2 blocks from the ocean outside my DD's apartment in Pacific Beach, San Diego. They don't get up as early as I do so Sadie & I get out, walk along the beach, get coffee & relax in the van for a bit.
DD works today so her boyfriend & I will do a little more running around for things for the apartment & hope to see UCSD campus where he'll be attending grad school. Have enjoyed the mild weather & how close everything is. I know they are going to love it here!

Sadie has been the perfect traveling companion. She loves being in the van & is content to wait for me to run in places. She's a great walker - doesn't pull or bark - likes to meet other dogs if their owners are willing - in other words, she's nearly perfect! :D

Will probably be heading out tomorrow - may post in general area asking for stopping spots along i-40. Want to let the kids have their space & Sadie & I need ours too.

Lori, I'll keep you in my prayers - Glad you posted the reminder about regular check-ups - I hate them but guess they are necessary.

Hope everyone who is being rained on so much, dry out a little - I think the midwest could use some if you'd like to send it elsewhere.

Carolb, glad to hear you're heading out for the weekend. :D

Well, I'm going to research a bit for the trip back.

Stay safe...

My last day here in Nebraska. It is sunny and will be hot today, but no doubt just as hot in the Badlands tomorrow night. Glad I have electric there for AC, as I just cannot stand heat, being from cooler Michigan all my life.

Got a bunch of work done yesterday, so as soon as I finish checking things online I will be off for a bike ride and to explore the last museum here. I will also ride down to where the German prisoner of war camp was located in WWII. I was told nothing is left but foundations, but want to see it anyway.

My electric bike is working out well and enabling me to do some exploring. It IS heavy to put back on my bike rack because it weighs 45 pounds even without the battery, but I am managing so far. Getting old is rough, but so far I am in better shape than most of my high school classmates that I am in touch with. Knock on wood.

Cloudy wet morning to all... coffee is keeping me alert!!
Started my eating program today... what a roller coaster...
The pain med that the doctor gave me keeps me awake all night... when the 6am time came I did not take the med... fell asleep and stayed in bed until 10:30... having coffee and oatmeal with blueberries...
I found out yesterday that I can have my MH if I move into Cottage... that is a boost to me...
Catherine if you have Good Sam you can plan your trip on line...
Maggie nothing like a clear liquid diet! almost easier to have nothing...
Red have you tried Avons skin so soft for those mosquitoes? have not used it but heard it works...
Have a safe day everyone..

Kathleen that's great news that you can have your motor home! WOW! I am so happy for you! Nw, they need to get your pain under control somehow, so you can sleep as well as do things when you are awake.

Judy, sounds as if you are really getting around on that bike of yours. I will have to remember that when/if I can no longer ride my regular bike. Our heat here was not bad at all today as we had a wonderful breeze all day. AND....it only rained a bit now and then----no great deluges as we have had usually.

It sounds as if many are busy doing both necessary things (like Donna---how did "that" go today? and fun things. I am looking forward to the Ruckus in another few weeks---sure hope the weather changes and becomes mostly sunny instead of mostly rainy before that time.

Time to feed dogs, and then sit and listen to the birds as they sing their night-time songs as the sun sets in a while. Happy Wednesday to all.
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!
