RED,WHITE, AND BLUE....

Postby grammynmaggie » Sun Jul 07, 2013 11:46 am

Since it is a RED,WHITE, AND BLUE kind of weekend...
I thought I might share some of that stuff that I use
to sell in my store and at craft shows....
this is a pic of my front room in my store...it was taken at Christmas time...but you get the idea..the table is an old wood one I picked up at a yard sale or flea market...you could buy the all the time in the north...I don't see them in FL..I painted them and then antiqued them
sitting in front is an old piano bench...did the same thing..the were very good sellers for me..sometimes I will get lucky and get a couple old chairs and paint them up then sell them
as a set..my store was in an old two story house hence the rooms...

Have one more to show you....I made most of the stuff I sold...I found this old cheap fireplace
mantle and over the years it was painted different ways...I used it as a prop..here it is..RWB..

I hope these show up ..photobucket was not wanting to copy the img code right...

Wow! I am in awe of women who have their own stores and you've gone one (or many more) better. You fix stuff! I think you're very very brave. And now you're moving on to a new chapter. Very very nice.

Oh Donna, you had a store I would love to have browsed through, my type of looking :D You are such an interesting person, so much we learn about you as time goes by. Good Luck on your project now, and then on to more adventures for you, and those of us who read your blog.

Very creative Donna. I like to browse through shops like that too, but then I have to remind myself, it's all stuff, lol.

HOLY COW, Donna! When you said you made artsy craftsy things when I met you in FL, I had no idea of the extent of your works! Good thing I didn't know, as I am trying so hard to eliminate so many things from this house now, and I would surely have "acquired" some more of your things had I known!

Happy travels!

Thanks everyone..I am retired from all this now...but
I do sometimes miss redoing the furniture...I also did
some shabby painting on furniture and hand painted
roses on them...had a few ladies that came from Philly twice a
year to buy shabby chic from me... if I can find pics of
those I will post sometime...so Soos you would
not have to worry about your pocket book at this time
I have nothing to sell!
