good morning
We enjoyed the near perfect weather yesterday. It has been unusually cool for early July, haven't even needed the A/C once.
Got lucky late yesterday afternoon and was fortunate. enough to switch the site I had reserved initially for one much closer to Linda and Sandy. Looking forward to relocating to more level spot later today. Will wait a few hours for coolant to redistribute, then turn fridge back on and see if it might work. Keep your fingers crossed.
Hope everyone is having a great holiday.

Good morning ladies and happy 4th of July !!
not sure what the plans are today if anything. Had a call from Pixies vet late yesterday, seems there was suppose to be
blood work done and they want me to bring her back in tomorrow for a blood draw. The goal is to get her healthy enough to withstand the surgery to remove her teeth. Thats the only thing on my mind right now.
Ya'll have a good day and be safe.

Good Morning Everyone, Another beautiful day in Northern Minnesota. The last few days have been perfect. High temps during the day, and cooler nights and plenty of sunshine. If it wasn't a holiday weekend, I would be out camping. We went fishing last night and caught a few small ones and tossed them back, but the lake was so calm and peaceful. I always say.... It's not about catching fish, it's about the peacefulness I feel out on the water. I'm an Aries, fire and water.

My kayak was delivered yesterday, (photo in other post)... I just had to inflate it to see how it was, so I had a 12' kayak in my kitchen last night.

Have a wonderful weekend, and keep it safe.

Good morning everyone!

Sarah, I sure hope the other site will do better for the fridge. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Happy 4th of July to everyone!

It's still morning on the east coast, but not by much, so I'll be quick. We'll be leaving soon to spend the long weekend in a state park to rendezvous with friends. It looks like the weather will be perfect, so we'll be able to spend most of the time outside enjoying each others company.

Wherever you may be, have a safe 4th!

Happy Birthday America!

This is the first 4th of July I haven't been at the lake in years. The fish are safe. We are firing up the grill. I wanted to buy some of the already cooked ribs but my DH wanted to cook some. I'm all for easy and he has a tendency to burn things.

Sarah, I would like to be where you are if you don't need air conditioning. It's 94 this morning but not as hot as it could be. Hope your refrigerator isn't damaged.

Happy 4th of July from Biloxi, MS
I have not been on lately due to connectivity issues. Hope everyone gets their problems solved enough to join in celebrating our independence day.

I REALLY have a lot of respect for all our friends on this forum that maintain and keep their blog up to date. The last 4 days we did not have wifi that worked and the reception on my phone was so weak we couldn't get enough bandwidth to use the hot spot on my phone. I have kept a sort of journal of adventures, etc in the blog, but waiting for a good wifi to insert pictures and publish.

Tyler has had issues with going potty and not wanting to eat. So I got up this morning and we walked all the way around the RV park (Cajun RV park) and across the street to the beach and along the long white sand beach in Biloxi. I thought of Stuart, the water dog and how he would love it. Tyler? No way, Jose. It was hilarious how he avoided even getting his paws wet. It became a tug of war and unless I physically picked him up and plopped him in, he would not go near the water.

Back to home and taking advantage of good WiFi and try to update blog and catch up on forum. Everyone have a great 4th and stay safe. Aloha, y'all.

Sarah, try driving around the cg a timek or two before you park again. That should circulate the coolant so you can turn the fridge back on.

At my sister's today with a big family gathering and BBQ planned.

HAPPY FOURTH TO ALL!

We woke to an overcast sky, which is now turning black with thunder in the distance, and 83 degree temps with 70% humidity. But we are here with each other and having a laughing good time remembering all the past fourths celebrated here at the Compound. Even the kids' father came over for the campfire last night and downed a mass of beers before stumbling back to his place in the dark. Orion's little wading pool is waiting for him to wake up from his nap, and I do believe I will join him in there to cool off, if the storms stay at bay.

Have a safe and fun holiday everyone!

Happy Independence Day to all!!! The tourists have gathered in town for the all the activities and the big fire works tonight. Last year the "BigBang" lasted about 20 seconds...yes, 20 seconds, as all the fire works displayed at once!! Talk about a big bang. The barges are set out in the bay and the display is supposed to last 17 minutes. I won't be there to see them as I will be in bed with the dog and cat! They do not like the big bangs.

Drive safely if traveling today, lyn

Still morning here in Colorado. Weather is hotter, but not extremely hot, and sun is out. We had a brief sprinkle late yesterday, but it felt good and cooled everything off for nighttime.

Am going to ride my bike to the Chatfield part of the Denver Botanical Gardens today, so I better get moving. Had breakfast sandwich--got to eat some of the food in the freezer because it is hard to keep it closed it is so full. Maybe I will cook some ribs for dinner.

Beautiful campground here. I am getting spoiled with paved pads and lots of asphalt, plus full hookups. Good thing I am teaching 3 classes this summer. My dept chair miscalculated and asked me to teach an extra one, so it will be a VERY busy summer since that is considered a 3/4 load, almost a full-time job. Luckily one double class has only 40 instead of 50 students. My other class is a single with 25, which is considered full.

But it pays my bills and will allow me a few luxuries. One thing I really want to buy is a tire pressure monitor system. It would mean less worry about my tires. It is very hard to check my tire pressure because of where the stems are located and the two outside duallys need to have the hubcaps removed to check pressure. I take them to a tire dealer or RV service place every 2-3 months, but that is not enough. So far all tires have kept air fine, but I don't want to take chances, so will get that monitor as soon as I can.

Happy 4th, everyone!

I've been busy with pet sitting (my actual job), and testing MINE! (my new MH), so haven't been here in a few days, and just wanted to stop in and say Hi.
Hope you are all well, and surviving the intense heat...if you are where I am! :D

Judy, you probably need valve extenders so you can check the tires and add air if you need to. I finally got a tire pressure monitor system and am so glad I did. I think the one I have is a Hopkins. I had some trouble setting it up because the manual is clear as mud to me. I would read the reviews on the different ones. I think there is one that you can replace the battery in the sensor. I have to buy new sensors for mine and they are about $35 each. The big RV Rallies usually have a class for them and someone selling them. They would probably install it for you or help you. You need to learn to operate whatever you get. The yo-yos at the tire places don't know what to do.

Judy, a good tire place will put extenders (which you should have anyway) on those inner tires for you. In fact, one tire place replaced mine with better ones and wouldn't charge me - and all I had asked was for them to check the pressure for me. (Even though I can do it, I still like them to occasionally). I've considered the tire monitors, and would like them - but a warning - they usually do not warn you when you have a blowout. If they did, I'd be faster at putting out the money!

Happy 4th, Everyone!

The system I have also warns you when a tire has excessive heat which means there is some kind of problem. The problems I have had is an inside dual tire going flat and then blowing out.
