E-Z Up?

Someone mentioned their E-Z Up canopy recently. Was it you Tina? I'd like to know if it's E-Z to put up and take down solo? Or will it just take up storage space because it's really a two-person operation?

I had something similar to the EZ Up - was a screen room. Put it up when I workamped in PA - hardly ever used it - more often sat outside. So at the end of the season, I gave it away. It wasn't too hard to put up and I could do it on my own. Do not remember the brand. And can't speak on the EZ Up one at all. I would have wanted to use it a LOT to put it up for less than a season though. I see many do it for a week, or even a weekend - I'm just too lazy :)

I use to sell at craft shows... and use an EZ up all the time by myself
they are not hard to use... I think if I was going to do for RVing ...
I would go ahead and get some kind of the screen room that was easy to put up for one person
but that's just me

I do have one. If I weren't spending so much time sitting under other people's awning and out under the group shelter here in PA, I would have put mine up. Can you put it up by yourself? Well probably, but it is so much easier to ask someone nearby to help. I usually ask... If you are traveling with WomenRV sisters that is easy enough but I have used then at dog shows and asked who ever looked friendly! :)

My RV awning is harder to put out and take in. Unless or until I get and electric awning......I would rather lose an $80 popup than my useless awning. Not because I would miss it but because of all the other potential damage the awning can do on their trip twisting in the wind!

I don't have an E-Z UP, but the one I have is a bear to put up alone. I can do it, but It's not easy. I would go with a nice screen tent instead.

I just bought the Coleman Instant Screen room. I used it this week on my camping trip and it literally goes up (by myself) in one minute! Here is the link to the one I bought at WM. There are several others at WM that are the same type. I love this one. Best $100 I've spent in a long time.
It probably isn't as sturdy as the EZ Ups are but much more user-friendly!

Tina, I understand all that can happen with an awning twisting in the wind, mine gave a very good example of that last month. A booger and so time comsuming, to get it all in order again. Mine could have been worse, so I'm thankful for the fact it never destroyed or broke anything on top. Several times thought I might fly away though    Shelter of any other means, sounds good and so very cheap to me !!!!

Mitch, (I want to say bad) but you aren't, its my own fault, when your comments at times, has my mind going back in history !!!!   I do get a good laugh out of your mischief too !!!

I think if I was going to get something I would get a screen tent too. My motor home has the brackets for an awning but the awning was gone when I bought it. After all the awning problems I have read about and witnessed I won't be replacing it.

I thought you were going to fly away too Carol :!: :!: I opened my door and looked out when that storm hit & the first thing I saw was you swinging from the rope attached to your awning. :o I had just looked out a couple of minutes before and all seemed fine, went back to my book and felt Elsie move!! I thought it was an earthquake and ran to the door to look out and there you were dangling in the wind.
