Alice, for my part I left my poopers back in the rig. That river is big  and the thought of a dog overboard even with a life jacket on, was more than I wanted to ever know about. It was a good decision as the current was swifter than it looked like from the Ferry Landing. Ask about how our arms feel tomorrow....

Thanks Tina and Lori for the great pictures! In Lori's I was surprised to see TIna's lap was empty! Where is Remi?

Dear Maggie...

There was so much going on with the Hoomans this morning and early afternoon....we 4 legged folks stayed in the campers and chilled...weird things like kayaks, sewer hoses, and my Mommy-dog sorting clothes for the laundry going on....I was afraid we'd all get stepped on...since there was 9 of us dogs and Paulette's 2 cats...so I just told them all to chill in the rigs until the commotion was over with.... ;)

There's nothing like that first dumping experience! Thank heavens I was alone for my first time, as my sewer hose hopped out of the inlet, flew into the air, along with its contents, all over me and everything else! I swore I would never dump again! However, with some support cheers and advice from others, I did actually do a successful dump at the FL GTG this past winter! Now I use a heavy boulder, or something else heavy, to weight down that hose before I let loose the trap doors!

I love that river, or whatever it is, that you all kayaked on---it looks beautiful. I sure do hope you all made out ok weather-wise with all that nasty weather passing through yesterday and last night.

That group picture, with the others coming photo-shopped into the same one, and then some names added, would be even more fun to have than that danged banner that never got there! Maybe we should consider this for all upcoming GTGs? I know that Mitch is more than capable of doing such a picture, and I might even attempt it myself----I know I would love to have such a photo framed and hung in my rig than just having a banner tucked away in a closet somewhere until the next shindig. Whatcha think?

I'm now going out to check my rain gauge to see just how much fell overnight, as it never let up. It's time for some sunshine!

Thanks for some more wonderful pics for us to see!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Hope the weather gets better for you.
Are any going to the 150th Anniversary of Gettysburg Reenactment this weekend? Don't think I could handle the crowds and noise but it should be a very interesting experience.

Remi wants you to keep drinking as he has the best seat in the "house". Looks like the GTG got off to a great start. Remember, Lori has the bail money, you will not have to wait for it to be mailed.

Love the photos of all of you and the dogs....maybe some day I'll get back there and join you. I cannot find "FerryBoat" on my excellent map. Hint where it is?

That is going to be some story of the RV stolen and returned and now going to the gtg!

I went on a horse back guided tour of Gettysburg several years ago. What a sad story!!! All the Civil war sites are a sad story!!!

Thanks again for the photos, lyn

Carolb - congrats on a successful 1st dump. Your position in front of the hose scared me. What would you do if it had come undone while you were hugging the hose? :o YUCK. I would definitely think of another way to position yourself off to the side, just in case. Linda

Look for Liverpool, PA on US Route 11/15...the ferryboat itself runs the Susquehanna River between Liverpool and Millersburg, PA....the campground is on the "Liverpool" side of the river... try.....www.ferryboatcampsites.com
