Wednesday Mid Week

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Wednesday Mid Week

Postby Colliemom » Wed Jun 26, 2013 6:39 am

Good Morning all,

Guess all the regular posters are off to the PA GTG and I'm sure they are having a ball. Beautiful sunny morning here this morning. Another warm day on tap. Two more days and I will be heading off to the far north for a little fun exploring my favorite areas in the U.P. of Michigan again. Can't wait to hit the road. So will be busy the next couple of days with last minute prep.

My Friend Brenda who had the new TT, is camping up near Traverse City and I was over there all day yesterday visiting and seeing all the new "remodels" she has done to the inside. She has it very homey and created a lot of extra storage space as well. Still has some other projects to do yet. But today she is coming over here, as we need to run over to the dealers and get a new set of table legs she wanted for her dinette set. I changing over from those post type table legs to folding ones. So we will be off and running later this morning.

I have downloaded some of the pictures from Maggie and I and our mini GTG trip to Hartwick Pines State Park and will post them later after I get north and have a bit more time. Maggie, the one that was taken of the two of us should be in your email inbox as I sent it to you this morning.

Not much on the breakfast agenda here this morning other than cereal. Trying to empty out the fridge and use up a few other things around here before I leave. Anybody need some watermelon or corn on the cob?

Anyway, just saying hi this morning. Have some things to do before I head out the door in a bit. Have a Chiropractor appt. this morning, need to stop at a few other places while up town and then head back home and wait for Brenda to arrive so we can head across to the dealers, which is an hour's drive from here. Have a great day all.

good morning ladies
slept good, few comforts of home here, like a tv that actually has a sleep set on it just like my own. :D
Breakfast was a pastry and a muffin and I grabbed a banana and a small yogurt I'll toss in the cooler a snack
later. And the hot bath was fabulous with plenty of hot water.
Maggie is such a good guest, she makes me proud.
Will relax for a bit before I go but hope to make Grant NM by dinner so I can check into the same motel as
I did on the way out. It was as nice as this one and half the price. :D Then from there its just about 5 hours
into Showlow.
Will check in via cell phone during lunch.
Ya'll have a great day and be safe. Enjoy your gtg ladies :D wish I was there.

Killing time during a heavy downpour as I wait for a break in the rain to hook up my car and head south to a cg near Olmstedville where my new kayak/canoe is being built. Rain is predicted every day for the next week!

I have had a great time with Soos and she picked out some wonderful places to see and things to do. And I love just walking around on her beautiful property here in the Adirondacks. No wonder she loves coming back here too. Her grandson, Orion, is just the cutest! Yesterday we took him to a horse show (jumping) in Lake Placid where he had his first close-up encounter with a horse. We lucked out by going early and got home before the afternoon storms.

I will post a blog entry soon of all he things we did while I was here. Thanks, Soo's!

GOOD MORNING TO ALL!

I sure will miss Liz when she pulls out of here later----it's been so much fun having someone to do things with who seems to enjoy them as much as I do for a change! I was happy that Orion behaved as well as he did at the horse show yesterday while his mom was back north at the University for a meeting with one of her students. One horse woman came over to us and let us pat her horse's nose, although Oey seemd a bit hesitant to actually touch that huge 'beast'! It was so nice of the lady to do that for us.

I hear Liz starting up her rig, so am signing off to see if I can help her hitch up-----later.

Happy travels!

Morning all... Wet wet wet here in WA... go figure... I am anxious to get to the beach in mid July. still havent found any curtains yet... i have a feeling i will have to get 36" and hem them up...
Slowly getting stuff in it. I got a colman air mattress to put on top of that old one that was in there.. its pretty lumpy as they dont put the 'best' in the trailers. A nice cover was on it tho.. i think the air mattress will work great

No special plans for today here.. glad everyone had a good time at your GTG...

Good Morning All, Goin' to be hot here today. Sun all ready out and bright. Daughter off to the pool to swim her laps, son-in-law and I are on our computers.

Had a very nice bar-be-que at the Grandsons last afternoon/evening. He is getting his back yard fixed up with flowers, tables, umbrellas, fireplace and soon to be fountain! Like a resort!

This morning we are off to the Farmers Market to see what veggies we can get.

Have a great day everyone. lyn

A really hot day today and a sauna outside. Spent yesterday with friends. Luckily the husband is a retired master electrician and he and DH worked on installing the 30 amp plug while his wife and I caught up on all the gossip and tried to solve the world's problems. Now we have ample power for RED and/or visitors or house sitter. Am excited to hit the road this weekend for a few weeks. Wish we were in PA for the gtg and really enjoying the pictures. We'll be in LA, AL & MS for the next few weeks. Hope to meet up with members in the areas we land. Off to clean and pack :P Have a great day and be safe. Aloha y'all

Woke up to crashing noises this morning. Apparently, the neighbors moved out and left all their furniture, so the caretakers are jus throwing everything off the balcony.

The forecast for today is thunderstorms but so far nothing is showing up on radar. I can't check into my campsite until 4pm, so hopefully, nothing materializes by then. The next couple days are supposed to be sunny and mid 80's (altho humid), so not bad!

Am still not quite packed and ready but I have half the day to do that yet. Lots of packing for just a day and a half of camping! Still have to put my new tabletop gas grill together. I think the ferrets will be trying to help me with that! :o

Hope everyone is having a blast at the GTG, and others traveling are safe!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Another incredibly beautiful morning in heart of the Rocky Mountains. I had forgotten about how blue the sky is at 7,000 feet and also how bright the sun is--got just a bit of sun yesterday, and I can feel it on my cheeks. Went for a bike ride a mile or so down to the dam yesterday, and my electric bike got me back uphill, which I never would have been able to do with a regular bike.

Today I am sitting around and getting some work done, plus maybe another bike ride down the other way. Tomorrow I am going to drive out to Crested Butte, CO, which means unhooking power and putting things in travel mode. It is about a 35 mile drive one way, but will be worth it since I have never been there and it is supposed to be a nice little town. Want to buy a small Audabon book on this area's birds, plants, flowers, and animals. I have the ones for the Southwest and Florida but need the one for this area so I can identify the wildflowers.

Weak cell service, so internet is weak also, but managing. Have a good day, all.
