I've heard rumors that she's just a quiet, reclusive, little old lady with no friends and only likes to bake.
I don't see how that could get her in trouble.

I've heard rumors that she also has a devilish side so watch out!

I heard she is a Dufus!

Was woken up in the middle of the night by a nasty wild thunderstorm. Tons of wind, rain and lightning. Several big trees down and we got about 2 inches of rain in less than 2 hours. It has been warm and muggy today and now we are under a tornado watch. There is a nasty looking storm system west of us headed this way, to be here in a couple hours. Gonna be like this all weekend I guess.

Been getting ready for my camping trip next week. I left most of my camping stuff in California, so am having to rebuy a lot of it. But then I won't have to buy much for the next camping trip in August. I drove up north aways to Camping World and got a few things there, including buying the $25 membership. It saved me almost that much in discounts on what I bought, plus I get one free night at one of their campgrounds.
Then went to WallyWorld and got the rest of what I needed including the new tent and screen room I ordered on line. Not sure I will have room in my Jeep for my bike with everything else I have to bring with me! Can't use my old bike rack on the Jeep because of the spare tire. Folded up, the bike uses up the whole back end of the Jeep inside. I will figure out a way to get it all to fit!

Now to go grocery shopping for a few things...before the storm hits.

THAT is a big fib. And I'll bet I know who started that fib.
As a matter of fact, I'll bet we ALL know who started that fib because she's a fibber.
She's always telling tales on that really nice lady, Mitch.
I honestly don't know how Mitch puts up with it - all that fibbing, that is.
Now, I need to go. I have a cake in the oven.

We are in the middle of a very severe thunderstorm with sustained winds of 70+ mph! Just looks, sounds and feels like a hurricane! The backyard here is flooded from the heavy rains still coming down. I have my laptop unplugged just in case. The storms are getting worse as they move thru the Twin Cities just past here. It is a huge storm!
My friend Steve is out in his boat right now. I left him several messages and texts earlier telling him to get off the lake ASAP! His boat is still not back yet (I can see his boat slip from my deck) so I hope he is parked safely somewhere. Just saw two water patrol boats go by with their lights flashing, probably looking for people in trouble on the lake. I also hear a lot of sirens. This storm has been raging for about 45 minutes now with no let up in sight! Very scary! (I am in a safe place here).

Took a walk around the apartment complex grounds. Waterfalls coming off the roof beyond what the gutters can handle. I helped a guy get water out of his boat. Luckily, just small branches down around here. Lots of large puddles. Probably got another 2 inches of rain on top of the 2 inches last night. Surprisingly, we still have power. Most areas of the Twin Cities are without power, some still from the storm overnight. Lots of reports of tree damage and flooding. Now we have another severe storm about to hit here with a third one about an hour behind that. Gonna be another long, loud night...

(Still haven't heard from Steve. Sent him another message about this next storm. Hopefully, he is getting my messages.)

Sarah, my DH was not happy with me the 2 times I caught a skunk. I don't know if we aren't suppose to trap racoons or not but we live in the country so just move them to a place that has more woods and away from our barn. The parish hires a trapper for nuisence animals but I think I have a better record than he does. He has been trying to catch an alligator in our pond for a month.

I like the CakeLady's picture.
