I have a talking dog...

Postby grammynmaggie » Sun Jun 16, 2013 11:13 am

have a talking dog…

The yelp…means “HELP” …I cant get my ball…I am somewhere and I cant get out…move this thing its in my way…help me find my toys…

Loud yelp…you are not coming fast enough….”HURRY UP”

The crazy barking…with running around a the usual carrying on…someone is at the door…look!! dogs or dog is out there…someone dog or human is walking on my sidewalk…or anywhere near “my” house…or any other ideas of invasion or territory things that are running around in her head…

Wimp, whine, whine, wimp wimp…after running up to me and staring at me…this after I have been ignoring her needs or wants… or she just all of a sudden realizes she needs to pee…usually means I need to got out side…ya know I have business to take car of…..

The silent treatment…running up to me and just staring …no noise…just that look..you know what I want… so just do it…sometimes she will do this after have a barking attack in which dogs have been detected outside..she wants to go check then out….or she wants a treat after eating her supper…

And then the best of all….the little grunts and snorts of pure pleasure while I am playing ball with her…and you know what that’s like…soooo sweet…dogs love is unconditional…always there with jumps and wet kisses…so happy to see you and be with you…That’s my talking dog Maggie!!!

Have a great day and stay safe..donna ;)

And yes those are just some of the reasons well gladly share our lives with them.... :) (That and they never try to remind us of anything we did yesterday not to mention 5 years ago. They live and love and find joy in the present.....and try their best to get us to do the same.)

Donna, have you been a fly on the wall in my house? Abby speaks the exact same language, with maybe a few slight dialect changes.
Good post! :D

And I thought Tyler's communications were his own unique language.

Peaches simply sits up and begs for everything. And cannot understand why I don't know which thing it is this time. She knows. So should I.

I know what you mean. I have to learn 3 different forms of communication. This morning Trent decided it was time to get up. I knew it wasn't even 7 AM yet so I didn't move. He came up to me (he sleeps at my feet) and plopped down. I cracked open an eye and watched him trying to decide if I was awake. He moved his face closer and started breathing in my face. Then he came in for a real close look and I just cracked up. He was all wiggles then, with squinty eyes and a tail going a mile a minute. How could you be mad at that? Will definitely require a nap later. Linda
