Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Saturday with a puppy visit

Postby BirdbyBird » Sat Jun 15, 2013 8:10 am

Good morning! I drove down to Louisville last night after work to see the new babies. Izzy had four. Two girls and two boys. They arrived Thursday and are planning on heading to the vet againthis morning. They are small but feisty and nursing well so far. Pictures to come but the truth is they all look like gerbils at this stage!

Hope everyone out there in forum land has a wonderful day!

Good morning all! We made it to Sheridan, Wy over some bumpy roads and very windy conditions. At the last gas stop, the engine wouldn't turn over when we went to pull out. Thank goodness for tGM :D he got it started by turning on the generator which gave the battery enough of a boost to start the engine. Last night we went out and bought a new one. My foot still has not healed to the point that I can do any long walking  what a way to begin this trip. We're only heading about 60 miles north to Little Big Horn, MT. Now for some coffee and oatmeal. Everyone have a great day and welcome to all the newbies. Have had sporadic wifi, so need to spend some time catching up. carold

good morning ladies
its been long awaiting, but today is the day :D I am so looking forward to the reunion, haven't seen these friends
in 13 years.
Been runnin around getting things accomplished here and its all still a work in progress. Her sister goes back home
to Craig Co tomorrow, its been a great visit but of course they fight like sisters do but lovelingly of course. The sister
is on oxygen so its been interesting to say the least, her oxygen tube running all over the livingroom and Terri in her
wheel chair parking on it  . Then of course Terri sitting too long in her wheel chair and not doing her exercises,
I threatened her I was going to fold it up and take it upstairs and she'd be forced to sit in the regular chair and get up
and walk across the room for stuff. Got over to the prothestic doctor the other day, I had mentioned to Terri that I
didn't think her leg fit right as it seemed too big, the casting was done when there was still swelling. The doctor
comfirmed, yes, she needed a new casting and also that she wasn't wearing all the different socks and pieces correctly.
So all in all she has been up and moving around like she's suppose to over the last few days. This is all good.
Off to check email and stuff and then start in on my day. Ya'll have a great day and be safe.

Good morning all. Tina, what color are the babies? Any blue roan like Stuart?? Are these show babies? Any up for non show homes?? CaroldD, glad you were able to get it started and try to stay off that foot!! Ava, have a wonderful time at your reunion. I'm afraid the summer heat and humidity is here to stay for summer. If people that go south to escape the winters are called snowbirds or pink flamingos, what are people called who go north to escape summers be called? Sunbird? Actually, I like Phoenix, the bird that is reborn!!

Yesterday DH and I went over to Lake Conroe and looked at a lake front house that had an RV garage!! It is old and a real fixer upper, but has 110' bulkhead of lakefront with a boat dock, etc. Don't think it's serious, but looking at ideas 8-) Also bought a golf cart!! Lifted with big wheels! DH will use it for sporting clays and running around the property. We'll also use it for parades in the wintertime. DHs shrine clowns do the parades and DH can't walk, so we'll decorate the golf cart.

Wishing everyone a great day and please stay safe! Aloha y'all

Good Morning Tina and everyone else,

Puppy seems to be the word in my vocabulary this morning too as I am in touch with the lady whom I got Sassy and Tessa from. I let her know the other day about Tessa cause she was one of her favorites. The first Champion of her kennel. We've been emailing back and forth these past couple of days discussing Sassy as this is the first time in her doggie life she hasn't had a doggie companion around. She might be fine with it, but time will tell. Right now she is in mourning as a mother who lost not only her pup but also with exception maybe two years, one of her lifelong companions.

But she informed me that that she had a breeder friend who might be ready to place one of her tri collies in a home later on. She just had a little of pups 3 weeks ago so would not be doing it for awhile. Anyway there are 3 tri females in that littler in case I am interested. She decided she is going to keep the older female for awhile yet though. Sent along the phone number  I'm letting Sassy go through her mourning period, taking her with me on errands and yesterday we both had a good day outing over to the RV dealer that I was getting a new TT from and then to Burt Lake State Park for some nice walks down their trails. She enjoyed that. And a little doggie time with some friends dogs which actually, she isn't interested in their big male Golden, but likes their little Bichon who is a bit afraid of her. Strange new big dog v s. little dog syndrome. so we shall see what happens. Also have an offer to "borrow" one of her dogs for awhile to help Sassy get over it too. But we are heading north in two weeks, so I think that will help Sassy a lot too. Change of scenery and things to do.

There have been some changes in my getting a new TT too. Turns out yesterday, when I talked with my salesguy over at the dealers that the TT;s are not going to be delivered for at least another two weeks if that and the one I am interested in, not sure about either. So he said he would return my $100 deposit back and we are just going to play it by ear. I'll keep my eye on his website and he can also let me know when they do come in. At the point I can decide. This frees me up to continue looking elsewhere too. At the moment, it's not on my radar screen between having just lost Tessa and also getting ready to head north plus hopefully a GTG with Maggie coming up.

Barbie, I'm with Mitch on your seeing a doctor. That cold has been going on too long and you might need antibiotics. Hey Louise (HavingFunNow). How's the van project coming along. That is still on my radar screen.

Well, enough jabbering for this morning. Slept in till *:30, a rarity for me. Now headed to Lowes for varnish and sand paper. Going to start working on my deck in prep for repainting and also getting the varnish for the hpicnic table I made. Going to be a cloudy day it looks like, so good time to work on deck, out of the sun.

Red...all four will be Blue Roans but we won't know how dark or light for awhile. The puppies come out looking Black and White but start roaning in from day one. We won't know about show possibilities until a little later. We can only hope....but the most important thing is having healthy, beautiful well adjusted, sweet tempered companion animals :) and that they find forever homes that cherish them. :)

Ohhh puppies!! I remember watching Izzy grow up, she was my favorite in the litter. Can't wait to see her babies.

Sue, I think a puppy would be just the thing to cheer you and Sassy up.

I just got back from an overnight to Lake Glendale which is near Golconda in the middle of the Shawnee National Forest, it was a beautiful area but way in the boonies so I had no cell signal with AT&T the ones with Verizon however had 3 bars. I was the only one there with long pants and socks on, everyone else was in shorts and sandals, guess who got chiggers :( not many but still...of course they were spraying with Deep Woods or using aromatherapy mixtures. While we were sitting around the campfire a raccoon came up to help himself to the remains of dinner. We were sitting within about 10-15 feet of the tables. One of the dogs chased it up a tree and we hastily put things away. I didn't get a hookup but just camped on the parking lot. I forgot to check the level and middle of the night started wondering why my fridge wasn't cooling very well. As I got up I noticed I was definitely not level, whipped out my iPhone and found my level app opps, not even close to the brackets  Not wanting to wake people or tramp outside in the dark I turned the fridge off. I don't know whether that hurts anything permanently but felt I shouldn't leave it on. I learn something new every time! It was already pretty warm out when I got up so I decided to head home. DH laughed and said it took me longer to get ready to go than I stayed. Still it was a good evening chatting and the night was lovely cool and with the windows open could hear all the night sounds.
Ava, I think you should stay in CO you sound so happy.
I am so not ready for this summer heat!

Mitch, mine is called "bubble". And one thing to remember about these apps - lots of our phones don't sit level - so the level is off when it might not be. Make sure your phone lies level.

BJ, if you were comfortable to stand or sleep with the rig as it was, you didn't have to worry about the fridge.
