Sunshine Thursday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Sunshine Thursday

Postby Colliemom » Thu Jun 13, 2013 6:54 am

Good Morning,

Looks like I get to break the "wet" morning coffee's this morning. Beautiful sunny morning here with temps in the 50's. Will be a nice day with high around 70, possibly a sprinkle maybe.

It will be a trying day here today of course, as many of you know. But unfortunately has to be done. After cleaned up two "accidents" from last night and also one vomit mess this morning, I know it's time. Will be leaving in a little over a half house, so am going to make this short cause I'm not even dressed yet

Hope all the rain heads east and out of the country and some of this nice sunshine works it's way in. Sorry some of you have to suffer through some intense heat. Kind of early for that stuff. We have 70's in our forecast for the foreseeable future along with sunshine. Maggie, I hope it stays that way for you while you are in MI.

Got some reading to do to catch up on what's been going on, so can't really comment on anybody's doings, coming or going. Do know Ava has been really busy helping her friend out. Such a wonderful friend she is to be doing all that. And LIz has had a GTG too. There are also a lot of new faces and new members on here too that I haven't properly welcomed and want to do that now. Welcome forum and hope you chime in anytime. I know you will enjoy it.

Well, must get going here. Be talking to you all later.

Good thing you opened the morning coffee, Sue, or I'd have had to post Wet Thursday, as this rain pushes through. I'll be thinking of you this morning as you and Tessa take your final ride together.

It'll be a wet walk for Thistle first, but then I'll spend the day indoors attending a seminar and browsing all the exhibits. There are a few things I am particularly interested in, and need to pick up a new screen door latch at Camping World, as mine finally gave up the ghost. Hopefully they will have one at their display here. Haven't run into Margie yet, but that's not surprising...this place is crowded.

Hope everyone in the path of the big storms is safe.

Good morning Sue & Liz, & all to follow :D ...(& Lori, who jumped in there before me!)

Sue, what can I say--really not a good morning for you  But I like your thinking of turning attention to Sassy. You'll need each other to get through this...

And WET Thursday here, just down the road from Liz! Cannot believe this weather--not just here, but all over. I'm checking the forecast & it looks like we'll be dodging rain drops during your visit here, Liz, so I'm glad you're getting practice.

Lori, I haven't made a reservation for the gtg since I plan to stay only one night--& hope I can get a "walk-in" site. If not, I'll do a day visit....

So as it rains, I'll be inside continuing my spring cleaning. Luckily, yesterday I was able to mow & enjoy the sun.

Y'all have a great day & safe travels always 8-)

Good morning everyone. Sue my thoughts, hugs and prayers are with you today.

It is sunny, beautiful, in the 90s and humid. Today is house cleaning day. One of the best parts of recently marrying a man that had been a bachelor for 22 yrs........ He has a house keeper that comes once a week :P on Thursdays :P That was part of the bargain for me to leave Hawaii and move to TX, he'd keep the house keeper!! So I get up early and wash the sheets, towels, etc and she helps me change the sheets, etc. While she does the normal cleaning, I pick an area and sort and toss or clean thoroughly

Everyone have a great day and stay safe. Aloha y'all

Red - I think it's funny that you clean for the housekeeper!!!

Tomorrow I'm off to Atlanta to see my mom and niece. The niece opens in a production at the local community theater tomorrow night, so I'm flying in to see her show and help out with "stage Mom" duties. They have 4 performances each weekend for 3 weekends. Of course I found all this out after I had made my flight reservations for MI or I could have somehow combined the trips.

As Red said, hot and steamy here with full sun. Summer is here with a vengeance.

Sue my thoughts and prayers are with you this morning.

Sue, my hugs to you and Sassy. It is tough what you are going through today, just know you are held in our thoughts with love.

This weather you all are going through is something, isn't it?!?! Red, love the house keeper story.

Had a nice time yesterday at the luncheon. We are making lots of plans for one of the members 100th birthday in August. As we were all swim instructors, she wants to go swimming on her birthday!!! I don't know...her family is in charge.

Same ole, same ole weather wise here today. Tomorrow I leave for the weekend to visit friends up in the LA area. No computer for a few days.

Just checking back in to let you know that Ms. Tessa is gone to Rainbow Bridge. She passed quietly in my arms. Both vet and I hugged each other after it was done. But he said that I timed it just right as she didn't suffer. She was on the verge of going into the final throes of the disease and thus she has been spared. But I need not tell you that it was a "long" morning till the time we had to leave and also the ride to the vet :( It will seem funny coming home and not having her meet me at the door, but yesterday she didn't either, so that was another sign to me that she was starting to go down. Unfortunately I've lost my good watch dog, as Sassy has lost a lot of her hearing and doesn't hear if anybody comes to the door etc. Oh well. Right now, she's laying in the dog bed next to me. I'm washing both beds and also cleaning up the water bowl holders this morning. So she will start out with clean everything now. This is the first time in her doggie life that she hasn't had another dog around, so will be interesting to see how she handles it. I have no plans to replace Tessa as of now. Although there is a collie downstate in a rescue shelter that I have kind of been looking at. But not now. Time will tell.

Thank you all for your (hugs), and kinds words, it is much appreciated.

Sue, Tessa's spirit will always be with you and she knows you did what was best for her. Give Sassy extra hugs!

Finally! A beautiful sunny day here! I had to work all day and have been suffering from a cold with a bad sore throat now, to boot. So can't hardly enjoy the weather with how I feel.

Got my Jeep back this morning so am happy about that. Also received the camping stuff that I ordered from Walmart the other day. If all goes as planned, will be camping for two nights at a county park nearby in two weeks. It is Baker Park, where JudyJB stayed last July when she came thru here. Nice campground, lake, trails, golf course, etc. Hopefully, the weather will be nice for that.

For now tho, am hoping these drugs take affect soon so I can finally stop sneezing for awhile!!

Barbie, you've been suffering from this cold pretty steadily since around April 22 when you first mentioned it.
(yeah, I know - I need a life. But when you mentioned it again on June 5, I had to go check when you first mentioned it)

Do you think maybe it's time to see a doc?
Maybe something else is going on?

Yeah, it has been on and off, along with allergies, but this is the first time I have had the sore throat. It is going around at work. I think my immune system isn't too good right now with all the stress I have been under.

(and no, I haven't been kissing any clients!) (and yes, you may want to think about getting a life! )
