Sunny Wednesday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Sunny Wednesday

Good morning all! :D

Good decision Sue--enjoy her, watch for any signs of suffering, but otherwise, she's happy to have more days with you too!....Precious little things, they are...

Garden is totally in as of yesterday. Now, a week or two of pampering, & then it's pretty much on auto-pilot, & I'm free to roam the country til harvest--sorta  Rain is to move in starting tomorrow & continue for 3-5 days, but after that, I'll do a local overnight. Can't wait til the end of the month for the PA gtg & a trip to MD 8-) So many of you in PA now--must be a good place to summer! AND looking forward to a visit from Liz in less than 2 weeks :P

Soos, can you believe the overnight temps in the Adirondacks were back in the 30's last night? So there was a reason your return was delayed  Sounds like you're enjoying a leisurely trip...

So safe travels to you & all others on the road! Have a great day 8-)

Hello to everyone. Slowly catching up on the posts I didn't have time to read while away. We left yesterday for our jello trek to Alaska. Letting tGM make most of the decisions about our route since he's kind enough to sit in Sarasota for the winter. Hopefully the weather will cooperate. If we happen to be in an area where you are and tGM isn't in too much of a rush, I'll give a holler and see if we can arrange a gtg. I'm assuming he'll start to blog at some point. After sitting for so long at one location, am having to adjust to the "travel mode" and trying to remember how everything works and checking the list at least twice before we pull in the slides and take off. Did have to move my wine glasses to a safe place  spent our first night on the Wakulla River on the west coast. At least I know we're heading north  Have a good day, stay healthy, safe and happy. carold

Good morning ladies
I slept really good last night, must have been the slight
gentle rain. Started working on the yard yesterday, its
overgrown and out of control. Found the hedge clippers and
started in with that. Will probably work on it more today.
Hear her stirring downstairs, will catch ya,ll later. Have a
great day. I am loving the weather here.

Sue, I'm so glad that the vet says Tessa isn't in pain and you can have a little more time with her.

Ivy is at the garage having her bench seat removed and a door handle replaced. Can't do those myself. Looking forward to getting her back! :D

Good Morning
We've had couple of nice weather days - yesterday especially as the humidity fell into the 50% range - but muggy this AM with rain/thunderstorms forecast for afternoon.

Not much in the way of progress cleaning up from last Saturday storm. The winter rye got out of hand while I was on TN trip and it has started going to seed. My shoulder is bothering me so used that as rational for not cutting it back. Who knows, maybe it will reseed itself next winter.

Still trying to find my way around FaceBook. Haven't decided if I like it or not.

Not much on tap for today other than grocery shopping. If I'm going to beat the rain, need to get moving. Been up since 5:30 and haven't even got dressed yet.

Stay safe out there.

Good Morning all, Still O'cast here. No "yard work" for me since I moved into a condo. I try my green thumb on plants sitting in the window, but they all die sooner or later. African Violets do well for a while. Eastern sun on my window. Used to have beautiful roses and camellias when I had a yard.

Safe travels to all on the road. Next weekend I'll get to go out and visit friends up in the LA area. lyn

Morning gals! Cloudy, cool with rain in the forecast here. I think the whole summer is gonna be like this. Don't mind the cooler temps, but enough with the rain already!

My cold is still hanging on. Some days are better than others. Today is not one of those days. Need some stronger stuff to get unplugged today.

Have the day off today and am taking my dad to get a swallowing test done to see if his throat has improved any. He is determined to go home next week and is sure he no longer needs the feeding tube or catheter. He has an appointment tomorrow with his urologist for the catheter check.

Ava, glad you are enjoying your visit with your friend. I am sure she really appreciates your help and companionship.

Hope you all have a great day!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Hi Wendy, good to see you posting.

It's another hot, humid day in South Louisiana. Late yesterday I got the bright idea of walking to the end of the road. Between the humidity and the deer flies I won't try that again. Guess it the tread mill or nothing. I went to the local store this morning and there is a dead snake on the road. My grandpa use to tell us that if you kill a snake and leave it belly up it will rain. We'll see. ;) Last night we had a hard down pour for a few minutes. I looked on the radar and the only rain showing in the whole state was right here. At least it made the last 2 house cat that were out decide inside was the place to be.

Our neighbor brought us some chocolate cake yesterday and I fell off the chocolate wagon again. This morning I woke up at 5:00 with a headache. Will I ever learn.

I forgot to pick up dog food yesterday when I went to town. Don't know if I can go to town 2 days in a row. I need to go to Lowe's and keep putting it off. I want to add a shelf in the closet. They only put one little 12" shelf in 3 of the closets and there is so much wasted space I could fill up.

GOOD AFTERNOON ALL!

I had a super night last night at the Florence RV Park----met another single woman a site down from me who had driven from TX and was headed to her daughter's on the Carolina coast somewhere for a wedding party. We shared stories and wine before bed. She's hauling a sizable 5th wheel. Also met some other neat campers and spent all afternoon in the nice pool there. The dogs got some walks in, and we got to bed early. I arrived here at the Enfield/Rocky Mount KOA at about 1:00, am all set up, and plan to relax until tomorrow morning. It's much cooler today and much less humid, but still good fro swimming which I will do this afternoon. This is a very quiet park compared to the noisy one last night next to I 95-----although I like the easiness of getting on and off and in and out, and all that----especially when traveling alone.

Tomorrow will be a very short trip to the Richmond North/Americamps KOA, 119 miles only, and then a longer day, 260 miles, the following day, Friday, to the Jonestown PA KOA. I am praying to beat that nasty weather the south is getting until I get inland on I 81. We shall see. So far, so good!

Off to give the dogs a run in the fenced-in area, then to the pool.
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

I know it is no longer morning, but I just got back from lunch with old colleagues. Had an appointment this morning to get a wrist brace fitted for my carpal tunnel. Will see if I can sleep with this one. last one I had hurt like heck, so couldn't wear it. I also stopped at my bank and dropped a backup hard drive in my safety deposit box. Got a new one so will do a new backup to travel with me.

Also picked up some Pad Thai from my favorite Bangkok 96 Thai restaurant in dearborn. It is sitting on my counter and will provide me with at least three meals and will keep in the refrigerator. Yum!!

Nice to talk to old friends from work. Makes me so happy that I am free of that now, even though I still do work, I do it on my schedule. So many years in an office where I could not see the sky or enjoy the outdoors. If I had to do it all over again, I might have picked a career where I could see the sky more often.

I'm hoping you'll make it to Valdez and we can gtg. Even better if you can make the LuLu Belle one of your tours. It's definitely worth it! Definitely will see you if you come to Valdez ...
