Ava, Hope this continues to be a MINOR set-back. These things happen to all of us. Remind me to tell you about the time I got stuck in the MUD?!?!?! I'll tell you when I meet you in person. lyn

So glad you're back on the road ... and better yet, that you're happy.

Aw nuts, Ava. Sorry to hear you had a breakdown, but at least now you are on the road and off to your destination.

in denver now chatting with my friend trying to do some catching up. All is well, the alternator lost the bolt (remember I
mentioned that when we replaced the belt a couple weeks ago) The bolt was fixed then but with road vibrations it worked its way out again and shorted out a part of the alternator and then blew a fuse. So, new alternator and new fuse. Luckily it was an easy fix, just not a cheap one.
But...it is life and you all are great cheering me on. I don't get depressed with friends like you all. I can't tell you how it felt to see off to the west and see that most familiar mountain range called the Rocky Mountains and it made me smile. Seeing the
cattle grazing in green pastures, all familiar stuff just warms me through and through. Will do some running round tomorrow
to take care of errands for my friend Terri. She's the one that lost her leg a year and a half ago and then broke her back. She's
heeled but not doing well trying to do things on her own. She can't drive anymore and her sister moved out deciding not to
take care of her. She wants to go thrift shopping, one of the things she loves to do and I told her I'd take her anywhere
she wanted to go. It will be like old times when our girls were little. Maggie is happy and enjoying extra attention and really
enjoying going in and out the patio door to the grassy little yard.
Will keep you all updated as I get time but all is well and I'm thrilled.

Funny how a little thing like a loose, then missing bolt can cause havoc. But at least it was a pretty simple fix and you are where you wanted to be today ... and are enjoying your mountains and your friend. Happy for you.

I'm really glad everything turned out so well...
Not too bad on the cost.
Not too bad on the time.
And you're a happy camper, chatting away with your friend.
Sounds like you're a good friend, too!
