Happy one year forum anniversary, Red. :) And Louise, I have been thinking of you. Your first rally is great but the real wonderful is the RETIREMENT! Now you get to say "yes" or "no" to more choices for how to spend your time and talents! I will wait to be amazed at all you think of to explore, to do and to create with your new schedule!

GOOD LATE DAY FROM GEORGIA!

I made 215 miles today, stopped at this fantastic KOA with a big pool, tall Georgia pines for shade, level sites, free Wifi, free cable TV, I have electricity and water (don't need sewer with my porta potty arrangement), and a free Belgian waffle breakfast tomorrow from 8-10 am with fruit, juices, coffee, and whatall! All for 29.99 bucks! They have a nice store where breakfast will be served, too.

I swam all afternoon until I heard distant thunder, ran for the trailer, and the skies opened up at about 5:00 with horrific lightning, bad winds, torrential rain (Many sites flooded after the storm, although mine was relatively still high and dry) and it hung on for about an hour. Poor Dinah was panicked, and Molly curled up on my feet and hid her head while Dinah curled up in her crate with her head under her paws!

As you can see, I am in no hurry to get home, and plan to travel 200-250 miles per day until I am there. Tomorrow, weather permitting, I will try to make what used to be the Florence KOA and is now the Florence RV Park....about 254 miles. They also have a pool, and easy on, easy off 95, easy gas station, and pretty park. We shall see what tomorrow brings. There are some really nice campers here, including a lady no longer in her "middle ages" who drove in alone in the middle of that horrible storm in a nice new little trailer and truck. She is on her way to Ohio for a wedding party for her son who got married in New Zealand which was too far away and too expensive for her to get there-----but after all, as far as I'm concerned, the party is the best part of a wedding!

Until tomorrow from somewhere, night night!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!
