Beautiful Thursday morning

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Beautiful Thursday morning

Postby asirimarco » Thu May 30, 2013 6:51 am

Good Morning to All. Just letting you know I'm still around and kicking. The sun is shinning and the birds are singin and the humidity isn't too high yet here in Indiana. The contractor should be here around noon (bankers hours) to work some more on the upstairs bathroom. He can't do the ceiling in mine unless he has help and Bill is heading into town to have some stuff done on his just bought pick up.
Been keeping busy working on my program that I keep all the information in when we travel. Miles, campgrounds, expenses, gas etc. Rebuilding it this year. I've forgot so much about Access it is making it a hair pulling effort. Posted some shots of it on the blog the other day.
Hope everyone has stayed safe from the weather and on the road.
There is fresh coffee and some croissants.

Good Morning from sunny Northern Michigan. Carol, so glad to see you post this morning and I would love a croissant. Don't tear out too much hair though, trying to get your expense accounts in order.

Well, the big news here is that my friend will be returning this afternoon. Deal with her new TT is coming on fast. She can't electronically transfer money up here cause the bank needs numbers for those transfers from the dealers, which they don'ts have. I am sure probably account numbers, which they aren't going to give out to anybody for security reasons. And the dealer wants her up here when the techs start the work on the renovations. So she will be in late this afternoon with the TT she is trading in and tomorrow morning, we will be off to dealers (an hour away) to get this thing rolling. Will be there probably tomorrow and Saturday as well. Not sure yet as to just what day TT will be ready. Possibly Saturday, if not, Monday. He supposedly sent me an email regarding mine but I haven't received any. So emailed him about that. I also have a dentist appt. around noon today, to start the process of having some old fillings replaced. Gonna ask if they can do the small job first so I am not all numbed up and what not, when my friend arrives. I need all the old fillings, 7, replaced, and it is going to be spread out over 3 appts. Also going to spread a hole in my checkbook too

Got confirmation for my July 4th trip to the U.P. this morning. Hooray. Should be fun being UP there for the 4th. I will be staying at the resort I was at last winter over the Christmas holidays. Michigamme, the little town near there, has fireworks, boat parade and all kinds of stuff going on, Should be fun. Campground are all full, so will wait till later to do that.

Flex is in the car hospital getting all fixed up. I'm driving a Chevy Captiva right now. Neat car and I have moved to KY without leaving MI as it has as Kentucky license plate. Rental car from Hertz. Dpf, enjoyed reading and laughing at you tale of the deer. Well, that's an honor I will let you keep. We should get you a trophy  Actually I enjoyed reading Morning Coffee yesterday morning. So many posts, old and new members alike and lots of laughs. What a great way to start the day.

Well, got to run along here. Time's a wastin. Have a wonderful day all.

Good morning Carol, Sue & all to follow :D

Yes, it was so great to see so many of the "old" regulars (well, in Sandersmr's case aka "strangers" ;)--and I'm certainly not saying any of you are "old" ) on MC the past couple days. Really funny stuff too!!! Except for your Flex, Sue, but it did start some humorous posts!

Today, need to know if the midwesterners are okay--like Dawn? Horrible weather situation in OK, looks like it included your area, Ardmore; and Catherine in KC??? Anyone else, hope you're all safe. We had strong winds, tornado warnings south of here (CENTRAL NY :o ), but all is well....Sunny this a.m.

Feeling "lost" since I have no trips planned til the end of June (Ferry Boat & Irmi's), so may have to do a local overnight soon!

That's it! Y'all have a great day & safe travels always!!! 8-)

Good morning all. How exciting Sue with your friend taking delivery of her TT so soon. Now it's your turn. Yesterday DH had Dr. appt. They are going to do a nerve block in his spin to help relieve the pain in his shin. The bottom part of the knee replacement part is a spike that goes down the inside of the bone all the way to the shin. It is loose and moves and rubs on the inside of the bone causing extreme pain. (He's had multiple surgeries and replacements on this one leg....long story). Anyway, I hope it can be done before we leave for next adventure the end of June so he will be more comfortable :P He spent yesterday volunteering with an outing for some newly amputee Vets from the VA hospital. They were shooting skeet and had a big diner provided by one of the top steak restaurants in town.

I'm not doing much except the usual...cleaning house, getting RED stocked up and ready for next trip. I feel like Carol, kinda lost. I find that I function better getting ready or being on the road. I really don't like being settled in one spot. Im retired and have the time and I want to be out there while I physically am able :P Well, time to go get some coffee and find some breakfast. Everyone have a fun and safe day. Aloha y'all

GOOD MORNING TO ALL!

So good to hear from Carol today! It sounds as if a lot is going on at your rooted house----no wonder you have been awol for a while. (I have no idea what awol means, other than missing in action, or something like that! Awol has become a sort of word with a meaning of its own, like Iou.)

Red, I sure do hope the pain can be relieved in whoever DH is----sounds like a horror story to have that pin moving around in there. OUCH!

Sue will be busy for a while now, and looking forward to getting her own new trailer as well.....I can't wait to meet her some day in person!

I, too, am wondering about our buddies who are in the tornado paths, Carolb-----I can't even imagine what it must be like to live under such tension all the time. Bad enough when we get a severe thunderstorm warning here in FL. I fervently hope the weather along the east coast corridor will be good and fair next week when I am progressing northward.

Today seems less humid than yesterday and with the same nice breeze, so doors and windows are open, and sitting outside with my coffee is wonderful. My plan now is to make me another cup of coffee, put on one of my collections of MP3 music on my stereo, and head out to my rocking chair under my canopy. Happy Thursday to you all.

Happy travels!

Yes, another beautiful morning here in downtown. I walked, with the dog, around the ball park this morning at 5:30 AM. She gets me up early.

Today begins the NCAA softball tournament on TV....as I am a softball junkie, I'll be watching all the games!

Everyone, have a nice day!!! lyn

Good Morning
I made it home late Tuesday. It was a beautiful day for a long drive but I really did not want to come home. Nicky was much happier about the situation as he can run free in the fenced back yard. The escape gtg at Dale Hollow followed by visit at Mitch's was wonderful and I'm looking forward to whatever the next trip might be (no plans yet).
My head had cleared some while I was away but was stopped up big time again within 24 hours of returning. Something is still producing a lot of pollen near my house. Van was covered as were the porches.
I am so grateful to all of you for the encouragement you have provided during this first year of my trying RVing. Never expected to under take such a marvelous new adventure at my age. Thank you, thank you.
We have rain moving in and looks as if it will hang around thru the weekend. Gotta get some errands out of the way before rain starts.
Need to dust off the Wii Fit and use it again. I'm not in good shape for doing much walking so hope to improve that by next trip. Anyone else use WiiFit?
Have a great day.

Good Morning Everyone ! Another day waiting for the parts to come in. It's a lovely day outside, right now, but according to radio station, thunderstorms coming in this afternoon. Hard to believe as its just beautiful , sky is so blue and gorgeous. Not looking forward to a lot of lightening. My site is great, but it is right next to the lake :o

I've been busy with odds and ends. Things I put in RV to go through, toss or find a place for. Lots getting tossed. :) Have had a book, with short stories that I never seem to find time for. Started it last night, so glad I kept it as its really good. Big though so will pass it on when I'm done, will have space for several more when it's gone :D

Maggie and I, have enjoyed our walks. Yesterday a big dog jumped at us, he was tied to table, he lunged so that table came too, they are chained down , thank goodness. Also whatever held him, rope, whatever didn't break. Owner right there I never heard him say a word to that dog and it kept trying to get to us. His site was close to road, so real scary for me and Maggie. She was so startled she didn't even bark back, and those of you who know her, know that's not her way  So glad he wasn't loose, but I do know what it's like to have dogs loose and running for you !!! Lori, so sorry you experienced such, some owners are not very smart or care !!!!

Maggie's telling me she'd like to set outside by the lake before it gets ugly out, Hope you all have a super day, Donna, hope your back and set down  feel better today. Chris, I cringed reading of your DH's pain. Hope he gets rid of pain soon !!! Poor deer, sorry but I laughed too about Pats car, I know several who would like to borrow it too !!

Take care, those on the road, stay safe,

CArol :)

Sarah, you jumped in ahead of me, have to tell you, used my WII yesterday. Lost couple Lbs not sure how LOL. Really nice having it with me, fun. My programs have changed though, have to find out why, I seemed to have graduated and I've been gone over a year, so need the basics  My balance could be better, with back injury, so will get back to it. Good luck to you, And I am so glad you too have found the fun and joy in RVing !!!!!!!

Feels like summer here, hot and humid. The weather man says rain chances though but doesn't look promising so far.
I gave Toby a bath, got my shower so I'm set for my eye appointment. It always takes so long and my patience for waiting isn't great, especially when they dilate my eyes and I can't read. Will have to remember to take my ear things so I can listen to my book.
Sarah you have done so well, I wish I could say the same for me. At least I have learned how to dump my tanks and can now at least heat water in my microwave, that thing is just too fancy!
Better grab lunch before I head out. Stay safe.

Donna, thank you for your blog mention of how you cut your memory foam mattress. Do you remember what brand mattress it is or where you bought it? Did the cover have a zipper?
I guess this is just one more thing to add to the list. Glad your hip and tailbone are feeling better.

guess I can't say good morning cause its past that but I'm gonna finish off another cup of coffee anyway. Was up at 3:30
this morning, couldn't get back to sleep. Did get some stuff done, slowly though but I did get a good long soak in the
tub since the rest of the house was still sleeping I was able to just take my time. Then went to my 9:00 appt for haircut.
Very short in back, long on the sides, really like it. Maggie got her rabies shot yesterday and vet checked her out real
good, she's very healthy and teeth are good. I suspected she was about 3 and he said yep, thats about right. She's also
spayed already, hooray for that! She has the eyes of a sighthound. He said the round part (don't remember if he said
retina or cornea) is much bigger than regular dogs and that she must have really good eyesight as sighthounds do. So
my suspicion that she has some basenji in her would be a pretty good guess since she has that look in her face and set
in her ears. She stalks and chases down flies, actually jumps up in the air to catch them.
Also went looking for a new pair of shoes, was trying to find some sketchers in that soft marshmallow feel. Nothing.
Will keep my eyes open though, may try the sporting goods store. Stopped by the post office and paid my box rent
for the next 6 months. I've certainly been a busy one this morning and will probably want a nap in a little while.Off
to catch up on posts and the storms now. Ya'll have a good day.
