good morning ladies and what a good chuckle this morning. Although hitting the deer is a shame and really not convenient
to have your car in the shop, but at least you have a loaner.
Will clean my desk today and my kitchen area. Also hoping to get my hair cut today. Also need to get Maggie in for a rabies
shot, chances are she's had one before but I need the tag to prove it.
Everyone has such exciting stuff going on right now, its so fun to read about it.
Just watched a video on one of the weather channels, it appears a super cell is building across the US, hope it doesn't
land on any of my forum sisters. Ya'll keep an eye on your weather.
Off to get busy, ya'll have a great day and be safe.

Good morning gals! Have a little time here before heading in to work. Hope it isn't quite so busy today. Yesterday was crazy! But I did really well on tips which is great! Still have a little bit of my cold hanging on, so I get tired quicker at work.

The sun is finally out! Yay! Not for long tho. Those big storms are heading this way so will have to watch out for them for the next couple days.

Sorry about the deer, Sue. I put "deer horns" on my cars, and so far haven't hit one. I used to travel a lot up in northern MN and WI where there are a ton of deer and never had any problem. There are some deer in this area too but not as many as up north.

Hope you all have a good day!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Hi,
I'm not sure what your name is. Maggie? Wish I knew for sure. Anywho, how did you get the Serta memory foam mattress cut down? Did you do it or have it done?
Thanks,
Nikki

Nikki - yes, it's Maggie and in my siggie (I think!). And I'm not to be confused with all the 4-legged versions that share my name on the boards. As to cutting down the mattress, we did it with a serrated bread knife. Fortunately, the mattress covering had a zipper in it so it was easy to expose the foam. If I was really wild and crazy, I would have cut the covering down and resewed it, but I just tuck the excess down the side of the mattress up against the wall, same as I do with the twin fitted sheet. The bunk is 7" narrower than a twin but the same length. If I had to do it over, I would probably cut 8" off - the mattress is really tight where it goes in behind the bathroom wall. By the way, that's not the Serta mattress in the photo - I took that photo the day I accepted delivery.

Electric knife works great on memory foam.

Good morning all. I have been laughing until tears rolled with the deer stories. I sure don't think anyone wants to beat that record! Sue, I sure am sorry about your car.

Donna, take care of yourself and stay on that couch until you get to feeling better.

Chris, I need to get back to my blog entries again. Just don't seem to find the time. I have been thinking I just need to take the time while I am in the gate house. Can create a personal hot spot and get online for a little while.

Am in to eat lunch. As soon as I get my hot dogs eaten, I have 2 sites to get cleaned.

Hope everyone has a great day.

I merged this into the morning thread where this discussion is happening.

As to the rest of you, I'm cracking up as I head out to work.

First thing my uncle asked when I hit a deer was whether I kept the deer. In Michigan, as long as you report it, you can keep your roadkill.

However, in my case, the deer bounded off into the woods, so I am assuming he would not have liked me to keep his meat!

And by the way, those of you from Texas, whitetails here are at least twice as big as those tiny ones we had trying to eat our food at the GTG last November! So they really can cause serious damage.
