Another Sunshine Sunday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Another Sunshine Sunday

Postby Colliemom » Sun May 26, 2013 6:34 am

Good Morning all,

Another beautiful day has dawned here at the 45th and promises to be a bit warmer too. My friend is leaving for home this morning, but may be back in a short time, soon as she finds out if the deal on the trade in for her TT is good to go. Needs to send some pictures up here to dealer, so they can look and then give her the price. It looks good right now and I think it will be a go. If so, she will haul her TT back up here and we will go over there and get her new one. First must have some modifications done and they want her there when they are doing it. Involves cutting through a bunk bed to make it so that part of it can be hooked up out of the way etc. She knows how she wants it done. They are also adding a board with some legs on it, under the sofa seat, so that it can be slid out, the other cushion put down in place and a nice bed made out of it when needed. She's also going to do a couple of other things as well. She's vert talented and a good woodworker as well.

I on the other hand, have transferred my deposit to the larger 19ft trailer that I was looking at. Will find out Tuesday, when it's supposed to be in. The dealer said we can get both of them together on the same day. Course of mine is going to be delivered a ways down the line, that may change the picture there. Am already thinking of how to redecorate mine. We did go back over to dealers again yesterday as she wanted to check on few things she forgot about.

The one thing both of us like, is that Sportsman and I think a few others now too, are installing their AC in the side walls rather than on the roofs. Makes for a clean roof line except for the two vents and much lower wind resistance. Both of us are towing with vans. Laura, a note about the WD hitch. Neither of us remember exactly what he said, but there is a reason that the shorter 14ft cannot use a WD hitch. Something to do with it's length.

Ava, sure is nice seeing you post about taking some stuff out to your 5er. That is a sure sign that you are getting ready to move in eventually. And schools out. Yea. Enjoy, enjoy. Donna, as for me heading to FL, probably won't happen right away. My Flex is under lease and I set it up for only 13,500 miles a year, so have to be careful there. But we shall see. Carolb, sunshine on the way to you as soon as this high starts to move east. Dpf, sorry to hear about your doggie issues. Seems like a lot of us are going through that with our furry kids of late. Hopefully the eye will heal with the antibiotics. Red, wow, talk about a comedy of issues. Looks like Murphy is paying you a visit for awhile. Barbie, I'm glad to hear that your dad is doing a little better. When you deal with Alzheimers, Dementia etc. and medications, you never know who is going to show up. Hopefully they can continue to get him settled down and everything regulated to help him. Hang in there. You are doing fine. And also sorry to see you have a cold too. Sounds Like you and Judy are a matched pair right now.

Time to get moving around here. Friend should be getting up soon and then we will have some breakfast, she will pack up and hit the road. 5 hour drive home and plans to stop by brothers on the way. As for me, I have a dirty Flex badly in need of a good detailing and bath and also a yard full of grass needing cutting. So will be busy day again.

Have a nice day all :)

Good morning all. It is warm and overcast this morning. San Antonio finally got rain, but a bit too much yesterday and they are still under flash flood warnings. So far, our members are OK. We might get some rain this afternoon. It just doesn't seem right to not be somewhere for the Holiday weekend. So I am putting out the awning and setting up some chairs and camping in my drive way  Watching the birds at the feeders and bird bath  Everyone have a great holiday weekend and stay safe. Alha y'all

This was Whiteface Mountain next to me at home in the North Country yesterday. The Memorial Highway was closed to traffic on what is usually one of the busiest days of the year! I guess I will suffer with the heat down here for another few days to avoid having to haul through any snow like that at this time of the year! Mandy and Joe had the first bonfire of the year at the party barn yesterday, so I am hoping someone took some pics of that event, as it was raining and snowing and sleeting down at ground level for that affair, too!

I was actually cold (shivering) in the night until I pulled my sleeping bag over me----first time in a long time it was cold enough to shiver! Today the breeze hasn't picked up yet, but I am so hoping it will as yesterday was a wonderful day with the blow steady. I will probably head back to Orlando tomorrow to wrap stuff up there, and then come back here to think about hitching and hauling early next week.

Happy Sunday to all.

good morning ladies
car is road ready!! and will take it out for a test drive later today. Gonna give it a good vacuuming this morning and
then a good steam cleaning. Will begin packing today and get my room cleaned up and when it is ALL done, I can
hit the road any time. Just have to leave by the 12th at latest but will probably leave before that.
Nothing else going on for me, weather is nice though, not too hot right now but it will get hot soon enough.
Ya'll have a great day and be safe.

Listening to the sounds of the TN countryside. What a beautiful morning her at the Blue Marlin B&B. Thanks to the use of Mitch's faster internet service and MItch and Sarah's patience will I sucked up the speed, I finally posted my lake pictures up to my blog and put the link over on the Dale Hollow gtg threat. Liz did mention that our campsites here are a little quieter that the COE camp ground about now. I just keep seeing the birthday party of 13 year olds running around and shudder.... :? No plans in stone for the day....might have to explore.

Additional link to the pictures for those that don't want to wander away too far with their coffee. :)

Good morning all! :D

Nice pic Soos! Yep, all that snow was the talk of the town. Rained practically non-stop here, so you're really not missing a thing by being delayed in your return! ...Looking forward to the sun that'll be on its way from MI!

Sue, is it finally happening?? You'll get your rv!? Hooray!!!! Ava, happy trails to you--how great to be getting back to CO, reunion & all. Camping in your driveway, Red? I did it, & loved it ;) You have a great yard for it...

Down to the last room to get thoroughly cleaned--the kitchen. First, another cup of coffee 8-) Oh, also decided to really purge this summer--after living in my 17ft RT for 3 1/2 months, I realize I still have too much stuff at home! Who needs all this crappa???

Y'all have a great day!! 8-)

Nice sunny morning and everyone around here is out and about--except me. I just woke up a bit ago, and I still have my cold. Mostly my head just feels like it will split and my voice is very strange--about two octaves lower than normal. Hope all the sleep I have been getting will help. I did take a short bike ride around the campground yesterday, which was nice. Some of the spots are underwater because of all the recent rain. Glad I am on a slab.

Got some modifications to do on my bike rack and am looking forward to Sue's visit tomorrow. Got to find something to eat for breakfast, also.

Hope everyone has a good day today and tomorrow.

Good Morning
Wonderful here at the Blue Marlin. We even had a full moon to enjoy last night along with the great company, food and the season final for Criminal Minds. Just couldn't get much better - well except that getting my ears unstopped would go a long way toward perfect situation.
Tina - Thanks for taking the time to get all those photos loaded for us.
Ava - So happy you are going to make your trip.
Hope everyone enjoys their holiday weekend as much as I am.

Sue - I have the sidewall mounted A/C. There are pluses and minuses. One plus - Mark doesn't have to duck under it - another, you don't have to worry about snagging it on the roof. The biggest minus is that you have to be slightly lower on that side to ensure you don't have water leakage inside from the water being pulled out of the air. And the other minus for me is that mine is in the front of the trailer just behind the overhead cabinets that go across the front. So with the A/C facing east-west, I don't get as much cooling in my bunk down in the south of the trailer, and I use a small fan to circulate the air a little better. I have to crank the temp down - especially since we are already hitting 90°. We also upgraded ours from a 5000 BTU to a 6500 BTU - required some tear out and rebuilding of the cabinet and some cutting in the outside wall. Sprotsmen now offers an 8000 BTU.

And I will also tell you the furnace is way oversized for the smaller trailers. I haven't ever used mine, even when we were in AZ in December. The little 1500 watt ceramic heater kept us cozy.
